Love Live! Sunshine! – Supreme Chuunibiyo Overlord (Y) [05/04/2023]

Our fallen angel has heard your cries and descended by popular demand. Yohane (Yoshiko is her legal name) shines brightly on the stage with her haughty demonic voice, sending shudders of fear down your opponent’s spine.

This deck was built for the Love Live! Sunshine! winner of the Love Live! SIF Anniversary poll in 2023. Idea submitted by School Swimsuits.

Prostrate yourselves, heathens, for the queen of the dark world has arrived on stage. When she enters, you may draw two cards and discard one, helping with her hefty hand costs for her combo. When she attacks with her climax in play and you pay her costs, Yohane draws the deadly powers of the abyss against your opponent, dealing a single point of damage to your opponent for each pairing of Guilty Kiss members (Yoshiko, Riko, Mari) [善子] [梨子] [鞠莉] on your stage. Yoshiko is also the core card for many resonate effects throughout this deck.

The demon mistress flaunts her unholy power at level 1 as your early-game advantage engine. With the play of a climax, she surges in power while also gaining the ability to salvage a character upon reverse and pump another character’s power by 1000 for subsequent reversals.

The level 3 Yoshiko finisher resonates with the cards above. 1/0 Yoshiko is a beater that gives your opponent pay two encore, but she can resonate at the start of your climax phase to pump herself by 2000 power. The center Yoshiko is a stock reverse for level 0s that can also resonate to gain an additional soul at the start of your climax phase. Lastly, Yoshiko on the right is a Rize profile on reverse that gains power on resonate at the start of your climax phase.

The dark maiden herself requires the worship and support of others to accomplish her agenda. Yoshiko on the left is a global support during your turn that also grants your center stage Yoshiko an additional 1000 power. We do not use her climax combo for this deck. The Yoshiko to the right grants one of your characters an additional 1000 power at the start of your climax phase. Furthermore, she’s a tap-two brainstorm that lets you draw two and discard one for each climax hit. Together, these two backrow cards greatly help in ensuring that your reverses go through as the queen demands.

Despite being prone to misfortune, the deck would not be complete if we did not tempt the powers of darkness to see into the future. Yoshiko’s event on the left reveals the top card of the deck and spawns it to stage as long as it’s a character. With a bit of manipulation and a bit of favour from destiny itself, we can spawn powerful threats to our opponent’s stage such as the Yoshiko to the right.

Although we don’t use Mirai Ticket, Yoshiko on the left is still a good secondary finisher with her on-play Musashi ability. Yoshiko on the right can help bolster our damage as she pumps our entire field when she attacks, granting them a bit of power and a soul, acting as a pseudo climax in the case we don’t draw our climax for the finisher or as a way to push for damage.

As the emissary of darkness herself, Yoshiko in her dark robes plays a deadly game with your opponent (Rock, Paper, Scissors). Alongside being a stock Adachi, Yoshiko rewards the player for losing (just like she normally does) to pump your field’s power by 2000 for the turn.

Pouring her spicy mix together in the nabe pot, Yoshiko brews a concoction capable of wiping out entire armies. By discarding two cards on use of the backup, she can send a higher level character than your opponent’s level to stock, levelling the playing field and letting Yoshiko shine even further.

Hidden deep within the depths of the under city, Yoshiko draws upon an ancient formidable power. Chanting the speak of the withering giants, she invokes upon their spiteful wrath, turning this hatred into impeccable power. She forms a contract as she nips her finger, letting a bit of blood fly out which transforms into a floating magical circle. “Anrufung der Teufelsprinzessin,” she cries as her third eye opens. A magical spear pulls itself out from the ground where she stands. Yohane wields the weapon with ease, spinning the polearm before leaving the hilt against the floor. Her enemy laughs but Yohane knows no fear. Dark wings sprout from her back as her clothes transform to those of the devil princess incarnate. She openly shouts “ダークソウルストライク!” as she lunges forward. Her spear answers her cry as the ground around her begins to shake, the weapon glowing red with streaks of black lightning emanating from its tip in uneven intervals.

While Yoshiko keeps evil at its bay, fighting the invisible unknown darkness while wielding its power, Yoshiko possesses an arsenal of toolbox cards to help adjust your strategy while taking down your opponent. Launch Yoshiko onto the stage and stun your opponents with her stellar performance before taking them down with just a little bit of her almighty otherworldly magic.
