WeissMaster6969 joins us once again as he gives his opinion on a potential new design for our wonderful game.

So, how do you feel about this modernized design above?
Honestly, this card had the potential to be good, but it’s clearly relatively weak by modern 2026 standards. Firstly, it only has two traits. I don’t think the card effects are anywhere near relevant to the modern metagame and I don’t think such a card would even see any relevant play anywhere.
What problems do you see with this design that you would potentially alter and fix, and if so, how?
Well, the most obvious problem is that this card doesn’t begin on the opening field. I don’t care that I open with this card. What if I go second? Then this card is already dead. This card isn’t a turn one Riki profile with two different instances that also self-provides the resource required for its effect. Why would I run this card? This card should be easier to play by spawning itself onto the field as a pregame action. Also, the text is so convoluted. It has two paragraphs essentially with useless abilities because I can’t read.

Now these cards are excellent. Look at Tamamo, it even has an extra box for additional text to make it easier to understand the combo. With Sumi’s card, you can barely read the text because the black meshes with the overall card colours and makes it difficult for the eye to track, which is good because then my opponent is blindsided and unable to comprehend its effects. This Mai is the absolute opposite.
I just don’t know about these abilities and how relevant they are to the current game. It feels far too niche in all fairness.
- You win the game.
- Your opponent cannot play the game.
- It cannot be destroyed.
- It is hexproof.
- You can’t lose the game.
- You draw infinite cards.
- This card can be played without meeting any requirements.
- It begins in your opening hand.
- Your opponent cannot counter the card.
- You have unlimited hand-size.
Even the “you win” trigger when you trigger this card just feels not good enough. To make this remotely playable, I think the card should read that if you flash this card at the tournament, you win every game before the round even begins. And then, maybe it’d be barely playable.
I’ve made a revision to this card to suit certain playstyles and maybe a trigger that is more enjoyed by the Japanese side of the game. What do you think?

I don’t know. I do think that, with this change in mind, players might now start looking at this card. I do think this is a push in the right direction. However, I don’t think that this card is doing enough. The fact that it only has eighteen standby triggers makes it relatively weak compared to the current metagame.
How do you think the company should balance this card in terms of box ratios?
As a rather weak and obscure card, I think it should be under the more common and accessible rarity of RR+ at minimum. RR+ was one of the best rarity designs that the company has ever made in its history, giving players an enjoyable experience at opening packs as they rushed to find these easily obtainable cards. Cases and cases of boxes were opened. A win-win for players and the company.
What do you think the price of this card could be on the secondary market?
Given the current circumstances of TCG investments and the rise of hustle culture, I’d think I’d value this card at a meek sextillion dollars. I think that’s a minimum amount that feels fair for this kind of card. Now if you graded it, then it would exponentially scale, reaching a googol maybe, and that’s just a small estimate.
I think that players should immediately be on the lookout for this card, quickly put it in some plastic holder, dump it in some shoebox somewhere, and pull it out like forty years later when they are ready for retirement. Players don’t understand investments and returns. Everyone should know that investments are built on long-scale rather than short-sighted returns. Each year, the value of the card will compound. And given that the game will never reprint, and even if it does, it’ll come in a lower value slightly altered or silver version; thus, the gold version will retain its value.
I know that people say that even if you make up such a value, there won’t be any buyers. That’s absolutely not true. If people are willing to put investments on digital pictures of cartoon monkeys, why wouldn’t they put money on pieces of coloured cardboard? I’ll be laughing when I pull this out at the age of 70, put it up on market, and then become the world’s first googolplexionaire. If you want to raise the value, you also have to put in the work. Set-up channels praising the game and raising hype artificially. Hire some bots to upvote anything investment related. Send bots into online communities to raise awareness of investment and also create engagement. It’s a free market that is openly controlled and massively manipulated by a handful of individuals, just as free markets are intended to be.
I’ve been told by others that apparently this card might be a tad “overpowered”. How can we balance it out?
Listen, the vast majority of people cannot balance games. There’s a reason that people put trust in large corporations that seek only profit and will openly maul their own products to induce their customers into purchasing new items in increasingly quicker cycles. Do people really think they can outsmart the clearly much more professional and educated corporations that clearly don’t use their balancing or quality assurance teams?
Anyways, as a professional player, I will give my regards to how to balance this card. If players just want to add some sort of shallow demerit to make the card seem like it’s balanced, just stick pointless conditions on the card. I’ll give you some easy examples. Grant the card an ability to “give your opponent’s characters some cheapened encore” or “this card cannot side attack.” Who cares? It’s fair and it’s a demerit. Most demerits on cards these days are just for show. I mean, the card has infinite power, and your opponents can’t interact with it anyways. It’s not like they can do anything when it attacks nor will they ever get another turn.
Cards need to be flashy and powerful to have any chance in the limelight. Balancing ruins that. Balancing makes it so that players have to actually “read” the card and consider how to play the card in conjunction with other synergies in their deck. They’ll have to actually think about the demerits and play around them to get the powerful ability. That’s not what players want. We’ve seen time and time again that what we need in this game is more generic slop that just combines together into a single pile. That’s what players want. Just remove colour restrictions already. Remove level requirements. Remove costs. Just make the card read “you win” in your hand that you open with. It’s never been so simple.
How do you feel about this series getting some more support after all this time?
Bunny Girl is an underappreciated and underrated series overall. It barely ever gets any support in the game. I think the company needs to take a look and consider supporting the series more overall. To be fair, I do think that I’d be more appreciative if this card design above was on a more modern gachapon mobile pile series or some magazine collection. I’ve always wanted to play Super Smash B*os in my trading card game, and with these newer series, I have the option to put LeBr*n James and Hann*h Montana in the same deck and watch how their generic abilities collab underneath the same title. I don’t think that Bunny Girl has that same staying power.
Players don’t want series with single stories, references to individual scenes and character relationships, settings, etc. Players want quantity. With these new gacha sets and magazine collabs, we can truly say “everyone is here.” This is the best timeline.
How do you feel about this card in the English environment?
Not happening. It’s in a foreign language that English players can’t read. The card doesn’t play itself. And unless it shows up on Japanese Twitter, don’t worry about it.
And that’s our time this week with WeissMaster6969. They’ll be busy playing a completely different card game that provides an entry pack, hired judges that know the game, and structured coordinated timed rounds. Wish you best of luck, WeissMaster6969!
