LycoReco – Takina Poop Special (Y) [05/30/2023]

In the human digestive system, biological consumption breaks down nutrient packed meals into their specific compounds while leaving residue and unwanted material into brown compacted mush. Once the nutrients are absorbed to the digestive tract’s best ability, scraps and waste are attached as our body transforms the food we eat into trash ready for disposal from our lower half’s excrement hole.

If you’ve ever been to McBonald’s, you’ll know that feeling you get when you rush to the toilet the moment your homies drop you off at home. That is exactly our game plan here. Chisato and Takina lock down our opponent as we block off their entry to the bathroom. As a soul-reducing combo, the pair’s goals are to delay our opponent from hurting us as much as we can by inflicting a negative three soul penalty on the cards opposing them. Furthermore, Chisato and Takina heal down on play, further making it more difficult for our opponent to land any shots.

In order to force our opponent to suffer in gastro-intestinal pain, Takina above is insurance to block our opponents from interfering with our level three Chisato and Takina(s) by giving them a hexproof ability and extended power. Furthermore, her active ability allows us to pay a hefty cost to spawn Chisato and Takina onto the field early.

As the namesake of this deck profile, Takina’s event grants one character extreme indigestion the power to trigger twice on swing and power for the turn. This is especially useful for building that much needed stock for 2/1 Takina‘s spawn ability.

Takina’s cute worried face hides her passionate care into designing her poop-shaped masterpiece. Takina is a burst powered beater with a climax combo that lets you gives the other four members of the Lycoris Recoil café choice triggers for the turn. This helps with gaining additional stock or hand, pairing very nicely with her signature poop event. Keep in mind that you must also have a copy of Chisato and Takina in your level zone as a requirement for her combo ability.

Since there are four cards, we will be breaking the cards down in pairings. First up are Mizuki and Kurumi shown above. Mizuki powers down a character in your opponent’s front row when she enters the stage. Furthermore, she’s a Chiyuri profile when sent to waiting room. Kurumi is a tap self salvage brainstorm that also lets you scry your opponent’s top two cards and rearrange them as you’d like when you play a climax.

The other two targets are the Chisato and Mika shown above. Chisato is a burst power beater that has an innate single stock double trigger ability. Chisato is our key early game piece that pairs extremely well with Takina. Due to her ability to trigger twice, we can very easily stock up or gain hand quickly while using Takina’s combo. Mika plays a minigame with your opponent when he’s played to field. Your opponent guesses a number between zero to three, and then you must flip over the top card of your deck. If they are right, you may play that character directly onto the field. Additionally, when damage taken by Mika is cancelled, you may place him into your stock.

Two other cards that compliment this deck are shown here with both Takina and Chisato in casual dress. Takina is a level zero stock bomb that also has the ability to place herself into clock to reveal the top card of your deck and add it to hand if it is either a character or the poop event. Chisato is a climax discard salvager on play with an additional discard character ability to draw one.

Since we are an eight choice trigger deck, we need to include plenty of soul triggers. Chisato is an additional early play with big power and the ability to trigger twice on swing for free. Kurumi and Chisato in the center lets you refund a stock when she is played if you have full field, and during the turn that she’s played, she gains a Musashi-ability on damage cancel. Lastly, Kurumi by herself is an interesting stock swap profile that shuffles your opponent’s stock back into their deck beforehand.

If you’d like to play counters, Kurumi is a free costless backup if you wish to defend your characters. Alternatively, there’s a yellow Chisato clinging to Takina 2/1 backup that allows you to pay stock to lower your opponent’s soul even more if you really want them to deal no damage at all. Otherwise, any will suffice.

Given Takina’s early combo’s strict requirements in deck building, there aren’t too many flexible slots available. Ideally, cards with soul triggers are prevalent in the deck to help with our rampant choice triggers. As such, 1/1 Takina here is a nice choice as a stock kick Adachi profile. Kurumi is a great emergency option to force refresh your deck for a heavy stock cost. 0/0 Takina here is a global support with a nice ability to decrease a character in our opponent’s front row by 2000 power when you play a choice trigger climax, ridding them of any low power pesky field utilities.

Overall, the game plan is here. Firstly, we must bring the nutritional packet into the oral orifice. From there, gigantic hard skeletal structures will begin mashing the packet into sizeable digestible pieces. Afterwards, the food will fall into a pit of specialized acid that will break down the pieces into small particles. These particles will swim into a small filter system from where microbes will further disassemble the remaining parts, transforming them into free-flowing nutrients that will be absorbed by the body. The rest of the meal will continue on into a larger filter from where excess material and waste parts will be attached to whatever’s left, only to be excreted out into a whirlpool for unwanted matter.
