Kaguya-sama – Miko the Miko (G/R) [02/10/2023]

At attention! The head of the Public Morals Committee approaches with great imminence. Straighten out your shirts, neatly tie your shoes, and ensure that everything about you is prim and proper. Pick a god and pray that she doesn’t catch you slacking by any means, and may god have mercy on your soul if she decides to make an example out of you.

The hour of reckoning has arrived; troublemakers beware. Miko is on the prowl, and absolutely no nonsense will be tolerated on her watch. With her sights set on a slacker, Miko is ready to dish out some much-needed discipline. When she attacks, she gains burst power for the turn and deals two damage. Such is the fate of those who don’t abide by the rules.

Miko has alternative ways to get on stage ensuring that her finisher can dish out some disciplinary action. Miko’s level two is a backrow assist that allows you to spawn her finisher for an alternative cost. When you are level three, she allows you to send a character named “Honor Student with High Morals, Miko” [品行方正な優等生 ミコ] from stage to waiting room and spawn her finisher from hand. The card that Miko’s level two sacrifices is her salvage brainstormer in the center. Additionally, at the beginning of your attack phase, after paying a cost, her brainstormer allows you to sacrifice a standing copy of herself to spawn her aforementioned level two from waiting room.

Miko’s Rize profile on the right can only add cards with either “Miko” [ミコ], “Kobachi”, [こばち] or “Chika” [千花] in its name, and her name will be regarded as the name of her salvage brainstormer while on stage. To increase the number of characters, her Rize profile can add we will ensure that all characters in the deck will be comprised of only true Miko fans just like me.

Marching onto the stage, Miko’s level one combo allows you to salvage a character when she reverses her opposition. To help secure her reverse condition, her combo provides Miko the ability to give a deathly stare, preventing the character across from her from bouncing back to hand and from moving to another position on stage. ONCE SHE’S GOT HER EYES ON YOU, THERE’S NOT ESCAPE!

With Miko’s level one climax containing a door trigger, we can utilize some cards that provide extra boons when that climax is triggered. When Miko’s level zero card triggers a climax with a door trigger, she allows you to salvage an additional character on top of the usual salvage bonus. Miko’s secondary finisher allows you to deal an extra point of damage when a climax with a door trigger is triggered (this effect can only occur once per turn).

As mentioned earlier with Miko’s Rize profile, Chika, Miko Fan #2, (I am the her number one fan) is a name that can be targeted by her ability. Chika brings along her own set of tools to bring out Miko’s full potential. Her twin driver on the left can help trigger door climaxes for Miko’s secondary finisher and can help mill the deck. Chika’s card in the center provides global power, but more importantly, it allows you to mill three cards on-play, helping fill your waiting room for Miko’s level one combo. Chika’s card on the right can help with colour juggling by resting itself to swap a card in your level with a card in your waiting room.

Assisting in Miko’s crusade against rule breakers, we can utilize some backups that can shut down any of their schemes. Chika’s backup mills three cards on play, potentially milling our deck towards a cancel, and Miko’s backup sends a reversed opponent to the detention room called memory.

Accompanying Miko on her hunt for troublemakers, her crew stands by willing to provide a helping hand. Kobachi is a climax swapper that also pumps additional power to Miko’s level one combo and finisher. Blushing Miko is high powered beat stick that can encore itself when she gets reversed, granted you do reveal a level two or higher card from your top deck. Chibi Miko is a Helmet profile that performs a surveil effect when played. Glaring Chika smites any lone costless characters and allows you to pay a cost to salvage a character when she’s sent to waiting room. Miko brandishing some rope allows you cantrip the top card of your deck if it’s a character and allows you to discard a character to draw a card. Miko’s speech event sends itself to memory while salvaging a character and pumping burst power to two of your characters. Her event does have a bonder that salvages the event. Chika in pure bliss is a search Riki profile that targets a level one or lower character and can pump power if the top card of your deck is a character.

Small and frail she may be, any and all slackers and troublemakers will straighten up and fall in line. No matter who stands in her way Miko will punish any evil doers and her sense of justice will carve her path forward and in doing so, everything will be prim and proper as intended.
