SpyxFamily – Anya’s Bond (Y/G) [08/30/2023]

As the sole daughter of the fabricated Forger family, Anya is blessed with full attention from her adoptive parents, Loid and Yor. They are more than happy to bless her with gifts along with making sure that she is properly supported and educated for the real world. Anya reciprocates her parents’ kindness by sharing her love and adoration for them, working hard to meet their expectations to the best of her ability.

Anya on the left with her mind reading powers allows you to peek at the top three cards of your opponent’s deck with her Moca ability when you attack with her climax in play and pay her costs. Afterwards, she lets you heal the top card of your clock. Lastly, at the start of her encore phase, she lets you change into her other form in the center that checks x cards from the top of your deck and add one card from among them to your hand with x being the number of characters on your field. If you manage to keep Anya alive until your next turn, Anya herself will flip back into her finisher form (changing back to her civilian identity).

Captivated by Anya’s cuteness, Damian has no choice (no pun intended) but to submit to Anya’s requests of him. If you have the Anya in the center, which in itself is another card that combos with the same climax, Damian lets you reveal the top two cards of your deck to your opponent and gives them the grand opportunity to give one of the two said cards to your hand (either a character or event) with the other going to the waiting room. Anya herself lets you salvage a character from your waiting room at the start of your encore phase if you have the same climax that Damian uses in your climax zone. She’s also a Pina profile. The trick here is that as you’ll more than likely receive at least one card that you wanted for your own situation through Damian’s discard and Anya’s follow up ability.

Due to Damian’s ability, we are able to fetch events or characters to our hand (at our opponent’s discretion). Some great choices are shown above. Anya’s event on the left lets us spawn out our finisher from hand early. The center Becky and Anya holding hands is a Money Counter profile. Lastly, Operation Strix on the right is a Basketball event clone, letting us salvage a character whose level is equal to the number of soul triggers milled by its effect which Damian coincidentally has.

2/1 Bond, the ever loyal dog, is key to this deck as he gives Anya’s brainstormer the ability to be a global power support. Bond on the left, using his future sight ability, also allows you to surveil your opponent’s top card of their deck with his rest ability if you have Anya’s brainstormer on stage. Anya’s brainstormer pumps power to any character that is played through a CHANGE effect. Bond’s other assist to the right also turns Anya’s brainstormer into a global support, but he also has a secondary ability to pay a stock and send himself to the waiting room to perform a Chiyuri effect.

Some other nice additions come with the Clean Cut profile Anya on the left. It is important to keep in mind that she does possess a soul trigger, synergizing with the Basketball event. Given how Damian requires the Pina profile Anya to be on stage, if need be, you can Clean Cut the Pina Anya to the back row, allowing you to save her and potentially encore Damian for the following turn or other shenanigans. The center Anya is a global support that also gives you a draw and discard once per turn when you use an event which is great considering the number of events we carry in this deck. Lastly, Anya on the right is a beater that carries a Fumio ability to decompress and force refresh your opponent’s deck.

Lastly, Anya above here is a bond to her early play event. She is also an event Rize profile, letting you mill your deck and potentially filter through your deck.

Should you wish for a backup, Anya is here as a sack counter to deal with any early played threats.

Anya with her tiara can be a potential cheap way to freely add hand if you get lucky with her reverse ability. Anya being brushed by Yor is a clock reverser that also lets you trade stock for hand. Loid and Anya can be used to force check three and add one card to hand. The Forger family early play profile gives you a variety of toolbox abilities that you can use to cater to your current situation. Lastly, Anya carries a climax swapper profile that bonds to an event we don’t play in this deck.

Anya is unstoppable with the power of the bonds she carries with her family. Her mischievous adventures never seem to reach their end as she enjoys every day alongside that of her foster parents and schoolmates.
