Bocchi – Vibrant Vocalist (R/G) [11/03/2023]

The world of music has many fascinating genres, but for a small indie band by the name of Kessoku Band, rock is their specialty. Come visit the small hole-in-the-wall cafe, Starry, and witness the members of Kessoku rocking on the stage. Among its colorful members, Kita, the band’s singer can be found front and center lighting up the stage with her gleeful aura.

Kita’s radiant shine is quite infectious and potent; no matter how much gloom is in the air, her mere presence can brighten any situation. While in the front row, when her climax is played, Kita’s finisher bestows her magnificent shine to a character allowing them to ping one when they attack. While they can give the effect to themselves, a good target for the effect is Kita’s card in the center. When the center Kita reverses an opponent, her costs can be paid to re-stand herself, letting her reuse the 3/2 Red Kita’s ability again. Additionally, center Kita gains permanent extra power and hexproof if you fulfill its RECOLLECTION condition.

During performances, Kita tends to be the band’s focal point, but with her vibrant shine, Kita supports her bandmates, allowing them to shine with her. Kita’s level two combo allows you to stand another character when her climax is played. She can additionally be early played if you have her level three early play in the center in clock. Kita’s level three in the center gains continuous power if you have three or more characters on stage and pumps immense global power while she’s in the front row.

Kita’s brainstormer is a little quirky as a clock brainstorm. When reversed, Kita’s card in the center sends itself to memory and clocks a card from hand to search for a character. This serves many purposes as it provides targets for Kita’s brainstormer, helps you fulfill her level two’s early condition, and helps you meet her re-stander’s RECOLLECTION effect. Bocchi’s card can also help put cards in clock as she is an on-sent to waiting room Aqua profile that targets both characters and the History of Blunders event.

Ever supportive of her popular friend, Bocchi mentors Kita, ensuring that her guitar skills are ready for the performance. Bocchi possesses an event with two variants. While they perform different effects, they both send themselves to memory. Her event on the left allows you to search for a character, and the event in the center pumps power while stock swapping your opponent. Her card on the right is an on-play Rize profile that targets events. Additionally, her gloomy aura wipes out an opposing character if they are the only character in your opponent’s front row.

Kita’s cool and collected senpai makes her appearance. By discarding Kita’s early play, Ryou’s backup allows you to refresh without penalty. With a puzzled stare, Bocchi’s backup allows you to discard two cards to send an opposing early play to memory.

Brimming with boundless enthusiasm, Kita has a variety of cards that assist in making her performance go smoothly. When her level zero attacks, you must mill the top two cards of your deck, and if a climax is milled, you may discard a card to salvage a character. At the start of your opponent’s attack phase, you may pay her cost to send her to an open backrow slot. During your turn, if you have three or more characters on stage, Kita in her streetwear gains burst power and the ability to twin drive. Additionally, she can also send herself to the waiting room to pump power to a character that is getting attacked. With her dramatic act, sobbing Ryou is a coinflip clock bomb if the level of the card revealed from the top of your deck is equal to or higher than her attacker.

With her overabundance of positive energy, Kita takes to the stage with the rest of Kessoku Band. Even though she has a long road to mastering the guitar, with her band members backing her up, she steps up to the challenge with determination. キータ~!キータ~!
