Nisekoi – Weapon/Daughter (Y/R/G) [03/17/2022]

Chitose and Tsugumi are considered as very close friends whom both carry affiliations to the same gang. Tsugumi was originally wary of Chitose’s relationship with Raku, thinking that Chitose was coerced somehow into such a pairing. She originally stalks the halls of their school, dressed as a man to investigate Raku and keep eyes on Chitose. As the series progresses, she opens up herself more as she finds herself becoming a close friend to the former two while becoming more confident in herself as a woman as well.

The deck doesn’t carry many finishing options, however, the deck does come with a plethora of options at level three. The ones shown above have some more damage oriented abilities that help push your opponent to their demise. The Chitoge on the left comes with a cancel burn ability, hoping to ping out any climaxes or provide that finishing last blow. She also carries a climax ability to mill the deck and retain hand advantage. The Chitoge in the center is a healer with the ability to potentially top deck her opposing character.

The early advantage engine for the deck is shown above. It’s a simple search combo with a single stock cost on swing. Tsugumi searches for both Weapon (武器) and Daughter (令嬢). Tsugumi is also a respectable 6000 power on field without further support, assuming you have a full field.

Some great selections to gain hand advantage are shown above. The bright looking Chitose to the left acts as a filter off the top two cards of your deck. The center Chitose is a center runner while doubling as a level 0 reverser. Lastly, Paula is the brainstorm of the deck, fetching any Weapon or Daughter character.

At level two, the deck gets a little spicy. The deck has access to two different change targets along with the early Chitose to the right. Depending on your level three choices, both Tsugumi and Chitose, in whichever ratios you choose, can be used to force out an early play character. The early play Chitose on the right is a large beater while possessing a deck scry ability when she is being fronted.

Alternatively, if you elect not to run the level 3 combo for NK/W30-002SP-SP, the combo pair above can be an additional option for force damage into your opponent’s clock. There is a condition to be met as the card can only send opposing level 2 or higher characters to your opponent’s clock, but nevertheless, this is still a finisher.

One other noteworthy card to consider is shown above. This Chitose has a reversing ability where if she does reverse her opponent and they meet her conditions, you may pay her cost and search your deck for either a Key (鍵) or Weapon character. This can help set-up for the late-game or search for a potential other card you may need for the following turn.

Note: Most, if not all, Chitose cards also possess the Key trait alongside that of Daughter.

Backups are considerable options for the deck. The large early game powered beat-sticks can be defended with the 1/0 Tsugumi backup. The Chitose backup is a good means to sack a character to dodge on reverse effects and to get rid of any cheated targets/early plays. Considering that one of the climaxes in the deck is a 2 soul, opening up lanes on your opponents’ field during their turn can lead to some nasty instances of damage the following turn.

Try to save some stock for your later game where your level 3 early play characters can greatly empower your field. I’ve given some options above for general beaters and the such, but there are plenty of options all around. Keep note of the Tsugumya which has an associated bonder. Do your best and try to maintain field while slamming soul into your opponent’s face. Show them the power of the mafia!
