Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls – Triad Primus (B) [08/26/2021]

Triad Primus is an idol group from iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls formed by Shibuya Rin(渋谷 凛), Houjou Karen(北条 加蓮) and Kamiya Nao (神谷 奈緒). Triad Primus, their idol group’s name, and Trancing Pulse, the group’s featured song are both climaxes featured in this deck.

This deck was composed and written by Ujou.

The main plan of the deck relies on two back-row cards as shown above on the left and right. It is imperative that the player works to assemble these two pieces as soon as they can on the field.

The card on the left, Trancing Pulse 奈緒 is a tap two brainstorm that reveals five cards rather than the standard four cards, which increases the chances of hitting the requirements for its effect. The demerit is that the brainstorm only works with Triad Primus and Trancing Pulse, but considering that the deck plays around those two climaxes, this is hardly an issue. Additionally, this card gives the center front-row character whose name includes Rin, Nao or Karen an additional 1000 power.

The card on the right, Trancing Pulse 加蓮 gives all your Trancing Pulse 凛 an additional 1000 power. As long as Trancing Pulse 奈緒 is in play, this card also acts as a global level assist to all of your Music (音楽) characters. Most importantly, this card also acts as your main advantage engine early bearing a climax combo with Triad Primus. This card’s climax combo lets you choose a character to gain the ability on reverse to let you search for any Music character and add it to hand.

The last card, the card in the center, Trancing Pulse 凛 acts as an early play healer with extra power based upon the number of other Music characters on your field. With the beneficial effects of Trancing Pulse 加蓮 and Trancing Pulse 奈緒, this card can reach up to 13500 power alone in the center field without any other characters on the stage. It also has the ability to prevent opponents from using any backup or event during its battle as long as it is on the center field stage.

To compliment Trancing Pulse 加蓮, costless beaters such as those above with either Rin, Karen or Nao in its name are used to amass hand and board advantage. Although the two above have some demerits, these negatives are negligible since the deck is only using them primarily for their raw power. Their main duty is to reverse their opponents during the player’s turn for Trancing Pulse 加蓮‘s climax combo effect. Due to their names and the power of the back-row support, both these free beaters also gain additional power benefits.

Another card to consider in the deck is the card above, アイドルとして 奈緒. This card is a level three reverser that has the benefit of also sending the level three to the bottom of the deck upon reverse. More importantly, it is an advantage engine that also combos with Triad Primus to allow the player to draw a card upon reversing any opponent’s card.

The star of the deck shines with the card above. Coming out at level three, this card combos with Triad Primus to re-stand itself. As an added benefit, this card comes with the ability to draw two on play and blind stock one from the top of your deck. This allows the card to potentially filter for another copy of itself or even the climax for its combo while refunding a single stock for its rather costly restand effect.

Having two Power of Smile 凛 in play with three stock, two cards in hand and Triad Primus allows for up to five attacks in a single combat phase. The instructions to achieve this are as follows:

• Firstly, attack with any character besides Power of Smile 凛 to generate a single stock.
• Secondly, attack with one of the Power of Smile 凛 to generate another stock. Now you can pay three stock and discard a card to restand the Power of Smile 凛 that attacked previously. Attack with the Power of Smile 凛 that restood to generate another stock.
• Finally, repeat the same process for the last Power of Smile 凛. Then, by doing so, you’ve performed a total of five attacks to finish off your opponent.

*If you manage to trigger any Trancing Pulse, you can use that trigger to fetch an additional climax from the waiting room which can in turn be used to pay the costs for the restand effect.*

Because it is so imperative that you manage to establish the back-row as soon as possible, running the above cards are extremely beneficial to grab pieces.

• 赤城みりあ, the card on the left guarantees a search to grab Trancing Pulse 奈緒 and Trancing Pulse 加蓮 and set up the back row. When she swings, she lets you choose any character to gain 500 power for the turn, helping in guaranteeing the reverse combo from Trancing Pulse 加蓮.
• ホラー大好き 小梅, the card in the center allows you to reveal up to five cards from the top of your deck when it comes into play from hand. If a climax is found amongst the five cards, you may add it to hand a discard a card. It is great for essentially providing a free mill and looking for the climax you need for the situation while filtering unneeded cards from hand.
• Similar to ホラー大好き 小梅, 渋谷 凛 provides similar utility and swaps unneeded cards in hand, but for other blue characters instead of a climax.

*Keep in mind, both ホラー大好き 小梅 and 渋谷 凛 are on restriction list. Therefore, you can only choose one to play in the deck.*

The cards above are some utility cards that are suggested for the deck. Remember that the back-row Trancing Pulse duo only work to assist cards with Rin, Karen or Nao in their name.
