Idolm@ster Shiny Colours – L’Antica Updated (R/B) [05/04/2024]

Can you believe it’s been over three years since we’ve seen the Shinym@s girls show up with support? Anyways, for those not in the know, L’Antica is a gothic pop unit of 283 Productions. The members of the posse are Kogane Tsukioka, Mamimi Tanaka, Sakuya Shirase, Yuika Mitsumine and Kiriko Yukoku. Here they are with a brand new deck profile.

For our old profile, feel free to check out our post here: L’Antica (R/B).

The new finisher is Kiriko. Slashing through the competition, Kiriko is a finisher with multiple finishing abilities dependent on if you can pay her costs. Kiriko’s first damage ping is free with her climax combo; however, if you pay her costs, you get to deal another instance of damage. Kiriko can be quite expensive, so make sure to save up stock and prepare for her turn.

Kogane returns once again as the early game combo. Kogane performs a Cigarettes ability with her combo, creating hand advantage.

Other ways to get additional advantage are shown above. Mamimi is a Takitsubo profile; however, she can only grab L’Antica (アンティーカ) characters with the names as follows: Kogane [恋鐘], Kiriko [霧子], Mamimi [摩美々], Sakuya [咲耶], or Yuika [結華]. Considering the entire deck is based on L’Antica, Mamimi can grab essentially any character regardless of level. Additionally, Mamimi can also decrease the power of a character on your opponent’s front row field once per turn when you perform a Shift [シフト] ability, a keyword that is a signature mechanic present with L’Antica alongside Alarm [アラーム].

Kogane is a direct Riki profile at level one that lets you check the top four cards of your deck to add a character to hand. You must have an alarm or shift trigger present at the top of your clock to activate Kogane’s ability. Kogane is also very useful for selectively getting a character at the bottom of your clock for colour requirements given that Kogane’s level one combo is red.

Sakuya is an essential part of the deck as a climax swapper and way to adjust your clock. Sakuya places a card from hand to clock, letting you specifically choose a card to put on top of your clock to get off your alarm abilities. Mamimi is a great option to place into clock as an alarm. Mamimi allows you to freely hand fix at the start of your climax phase with your waiting room if she is at the top of your clock. Kiriko is another option to consider. Kiriko is a level three support that allows you to stock charge if you have four or more cards on field at the start of your climax phase if she is at the top of your clock.

Some other shift cards to consider are shown here. Kiriko is a drop search that can be freely interchanged with your clock. This is great to consider shifting in your 2/1 Kiriko for extra stock value. Kogane can do the same, but she is a salvage brainstormer instead. Kiriko is another salvage brainstormer; however, she is blue.

Non-alarms or non-shift cards should be very powerful on their own since they do not activate or assist in cards that work with the mechanic. Mamimi is a clean cut profile that can save your other cards. Yuika gains stock charge on swing and cross-turn power at the start of your climax phase if the top card of your clock is a shift or alarm trigger. Since so many of cards rely on the mechanic synergies, it is essential to be careful with your ratios and to try and make sure you fulfill the mechanic as much as possible.

Some other late game considerations are shown through Mamimi and Kogane here. Mamimi can bounce an opposing character on play while also acting as a secondary finisher. Kogane is a global assist that is also a Riko profile that can be reused.

The last key card to mention is Kogane smiling during a performance. Kogane is a global power boost during your turn which helps with getting reverses. Additionally, you may use her secondary ability to sacrifice herself to rearrange your clock as you wish, stacking your alarms as needed.

In terms of backups, the ones suggested here have utilities beyond being just defensive shields. Mamimi in her swimsuit is a forced draw and discard at the start of your climax phase if she is at the top of your clock. The whole gang assembled together is a free counter which can swap itself with a card from your waiting room at the start of your main phase. This card is great for swapping in other alarm cards that activate at the start of your climax phase such as Swimsuit Mamimi, 2/1 Kiriko support, and Mamimi in her casual clothes.

Other members of L’Antica have arrived to help. 3/2 Kogane is an early play if you have full board and heals the bottom card of your clock to stock. 0/0 Kogane is a Rize profile upon reverse, helping you filter through your deck. 1/0 Swimsuit Kogane gains an enormous power boost against cheated threats or characters that are higher level than your opponent’s level. While at the top of your clock, Kogane gives additional power to one of your characters at the start of your climax phase. Kiriko is a draw Riki profile combined with a Helmet ability. 1/0 Mamimi has a redraw ability and also pumps power to one of your characters on play. 2/1 Yuika is an oversized anti-level beater that can also accelerate herself on play for even more power. Lastly, Kogane and Sakuya playing in the sunset is a unique beater with shift that can heal your entire clock during the start of your opponent’s encore phase if you are exactly at six cards in clock.

Remember, Kiriko requires you to have at least a single character with Alarm or Shift on your stage to perform her ability. Her first ping is free, but the second ping does have a cost. The payment is optional, and you can choose to skip it. Kiriko does demand quite a bit of stock and hand, so make sure to use Yuika and Kiriko to turbocharge your stock as much as possible. Do also make sure to maintain your ratios since many of your abilities do require a healthy amount of Alarm and Shift triggers to activate. May these ladies of the darkness serve you well.
