LycoReco – ChisaTaki (B/R) [06/07/2023]

Chisato and Takina share a very cute and innocent relationship. As two orphans, the girls both lack families, and as such, throughout the series, they come to acknowledge each other as sort-of-sisters. Together, while working LycoReco, they also form a pseudo family with the other members of the organization, providing Takina with a new type of warmth outside of the Lycoris Organization.

Chisato and Takina here share their friendship in the broad daylight in their swimsuits. They are a part of a two partner combo although their combos can be used separately without the other. Chisato is an on-play character salvager that gains an expensive re-stand ability at the end of her attack when their climax is in play. Takina is an on-play healer that places the Chisato on the left underneath her as a marker when their climax is played. If you do her effect, you will grant all your other characters 3000 power for the turn and the ability to mill your opponent’s deck on attack. If the card milled is a level 0 or lower card or a climax, you deal one damage to your opponent.

Keep in mind that Takina grants this ability to all your other characters when they attack, meaning with two Chisatos in the front, that’s is a total of nine different potential damage instances (Note: Takina must be in the front row to perform her ability). To perfectly execute the combo, you must have a total of at least eight stock and two additional hand (to discard for Chisato) going into the turn to gain all nine swings. The climax for the girls is shown below with all their various foil arts.

There are two general options for the deck in the early game to garner hand advantage. The first of which is shown here with the arc combo. Chisato and Takina above gain burst power on play. When they attack, if you have their climax in play, you perform a Cigarettes ability and then afterwards, you rearrange the top two cards of your deck before she swings (leave the other card on top for your next attack).

Alternatively, the other combo comes with this other Chisato and Takina combo. This combo is a little larger than the blue combo, remaining at 5500 most of the time cross-turn. When they swing with their climax, you may perform a Maguro effect and add either a character or a specific event. Furthermore, she also binds one of your opponent’s characters in place, making them unable to move for the following turn.

In addition to their aforementioned combos, the pair also share an early play and JC profile shown on the left and right respectively. Chisato’s early play’s condition is an almost complete board with a nice additional ability to gain power until the end of your opponent’s turn if you have Takina’s JC profile on the right in the waiting room.

Chisato’s stock charger on the left is a great way to help us reach the minimum eight stock requirement to full combo our opponent. The event on the right helps us easily set-up our combo by letting us salvage both a Chisato [千束] and Takina [たきな] character to hand while simultaneously giving burst power to a character for the turn. As an added bonus, when the event is played, you reveal the top card of your deck and send that card to stock as a pseudo cost refund if that card is a level 0 or lower character. It is also the event that is can be added to hand through the level 1 Chisato combo.

Brainstorms are quite varied for the deck. The deck has access to several brainstorm options. Starting with Takina, she’s a Pina draw brainstorm which is great to help keep our pieces on board while drawing advantage throughout the game. Chisato in the center is an assist cost 0 spawning brainstorm, letting us potentially cheat out our early combos early or ideally to bring out our stock charger to generate more value. Lastly, Chisato on the right is a check three, add one brainstorm with an additional ability to mill your opponent’s deck whenever our characters check a salvage trigger, working especially great if we go all in on the gate climaxes.

For backups, Chisato is a great memory counter to protect our late game pieces or permanently rid our opponent of an annoying threat. Takina is an anti-change backup that sends cheated cards or early plays to the waiting room.

Chisato and Takina have many weapons at their disposal to handle any situation in their way. 1/0 Takina in a sailor uniform is great to discard less important cards to recycle another character on field back to hand when she swings while also being a costless bottom deck reverser. 1/0 Takina wielding her pistol is a great way to filter through your deck and salvage characters when she gets reversed. 0/0 Chisato is a nice on-play Riki for level 2 or higher characters, helping you set-up your combo easily during the late game.

Take a look through the set. Chisato and Takina’s sisterly bond is undeniable and as long as they’re by each other’s side, no challenge can threaten them.
