Symphogear – Hibiki and Miku (Y/R) [01/23/2024]

Who do you love the most, Miku? Hibiki. Who’s the best person in the whole wide world? Hibiki. If you had to spend the rest of your life with a single person, who would it be? Hibiki. Who’s the warmest person you know? Hibiki. Who do you wish to be by your side forever and ever? Hibiki.

Reaching for the stars, grabbing at the very dreams that she sought to make, Hibiki brings true judgment down upon your opponent with her strongest transformation. Wielding the ultimate form of Gungnir, Hibiki pierces through darkness with her climax. When your opponent dares to cancel Hibiki’s attack, Hibiki does two strings of attacks, the first dealing three damage, and if that damage is cancelled, she does another single point of damage.

Just like all the Symphogear girls, you can bring Hibiki out early by changing a certain target with that of the level three Hibiki. Hibiki above works only with the specific Gungnir event shown here. When Gungnir is used and you fulfill the conditions as required, you may send the Hibiki shown above to memory and swap in the level three from hand to the stage. Gungnir then swaps itself for a card in your level zone. Then, at the start of your climax phase, you may add the Hibiki you sent to memory to hand.

Hibiki herself is a bonder for the Gungnir event from deck. Additionally, you may discard a character when she’s played from hand to reveal the top two cards of your deck. Your opponent gives you a character or event shown in the two cards to your hand.

Hibiki is our early combo of choice. She has a modular combo ability with her climax and allows you to either perform a Maguro ability or trigger twice for free.

Aside from our early combo, Miku arrives to support the team. Her card on the left is a Yuko profile that lets you search and add a character to hand with Hibiki [響] or Miku [未来] in its name. Miku on the right is a Time Machine profile that can help us secure swingers for the following turn to gather stock while we continue to search for our pieces to hand.

Another level one package that we could run either simultaneously or on its own is that of the Ignite Module package that will be introduced here. Hibiki above can be considered a pseudo-combo as long as you have Ignite Module in memory. When she reverses any character, as long as you have Ignite Module in memory, you may reveal the top card of the deck, and if that card is level one or higher, you may add it to hand.

The two Ignite Modules (for Hibiki) are shown above. The left Ignite Module is an Akatsuki event that also grants power to a character for the turn before going to memory. The second Ignite Module in the middle lets you draw two and discard a card before going to memory. Depending on your build, you may want to run a combination of both. Lastly, the Hibiki and Elfnein on the right is a salvage bonder to the Ignite Module event while granting power to your center character.

There are several other synergies to consider within the deck. The search brainstorm on the left has a surveil ability on play and only works with choice triggers, but the pairing does reward you for hitting brainstorms by also pumping power to one of your characters on your field for the turn. Hibiki in the center is a double utility piece on play, acting as a double drop search specifically for a Hibiki and a Miku character while also being a climax swapper as well. Miku’s level three assist can tap itself to pump power while also letting you scry the top card of your opponent’s deck whenever you trigger a choice trigger. Make use of these synergies to grab your necessary pieces while also messing with your opponent’s deck.

The last card I’d like to mention is this Miku assist shown here. Miku is a global assist solely for Hibiki [響]. More importantly, her ability when she’s played on stage from hand allows you to salvage any character for the cost of clocking a card for hand. She can be a cheap way to grab pieces you need at the cost of life.

In terms of counters, Hibiki shown above is a great anti-change piece that also has a sacrifice cost, helping you prevent any reverses if need be.

Miku is a healer with a unique ability that grants her additional power and the ability to top deck her reversed opponent when you use an event. This can be useful in helping with trying to guarantee damage. Hibiki in her battle stance is a clean cut profile with power during your turn. 1/1 Hibiki is a stock Adachi profile, perfect for getting rid of cheated out cards. Hibiki and Miku on a date is an early play healer. Hibiki in full range mode has a unique ability where when her damage is cancelled, you may pay her costs and mill the top four cards of your deck. Depending on the number of characters with Hibiki or Miku [未来] in its name or yellow events, you gain a variety of effects. Lastly, Hibiki and Miku in swimsuits is a global support that lets you hand fix your hand with the top two cards of your deck.

Hibiki and Miku are childhood friends that have been together since they were born. Nothing can separate their bonds. Show the strength of their friendship as you pierce the heavens with Gungnir.
