Slime – Cooking with Shion (Y/R/B) [02/16/2023]

Welcome to our humble eatery. We have prepared a special four-course meal whose dishes have been chosen and prepared by our head chef, Shion. Her cooking expertise is a sight to behold, and her high-class palate will ensure the food you eat will make your mouth sing. Now, please take a seat, and we hope you have a wonderful dining experience.

Please welcome our very own executive chef Shion. She’s here to guide you throughout tonight’s meal. She uses her climax combo to ensure her ingredients are of high quality and seasoned with care. When she reverses her opponent, a character can be ditched to look up three cards and add up to one red, blue, and yellow character among them. She then serves up a 1500 power boost to another character which can help with subsequent reverses.

Assisting chef Shion is sous chef Benimaru. While he’s more known for his skills with the grill, he will be assisting Shion at the pass. To perform his climax combo, you need to fulfill his EXPERIENCE requirement by having a yellow and red card within your level zone; if fulfilled he allows you to perform one of two effects. The first effect is to stand a rested character which can conveniently stand a character spawned from the standby effect, and the second is to deal a single point of damage. Outside of his combo, he gains a power boost and a cheap encore cost if you have another character on stage.

With Shion and Benimauru’s combo requiring yellow to perform their combos, the cards above incentivizes you, even more, to have a yellow card in your level zone. Shion is an on-play Koume but has an EXPERIENCE condition of having a yellow and red card in level zone. Hakurou’s EXPERIENCE effect will grant him immense power, and outside of that, he allows you to ditch a card to spawn a level 0 from your waiting room. Finally, Shuna’s EXPERIENCE effect allows you to perform an on-play Chiyuri effect.

To help add more flavour to the deck’s recipe, we have some red cards that can help with their spicy effects. Milm serves as an early game beater while allowing you to hand fix for a cheap character discard. Clayman helps us loop Shion’s combo by spawning a level 0 from the waiting room while giving it a power boost for the turn. Keep in mind that the spawned character will be sent to the waiting room once the turn ends. Benimaru has another finisher whose burn effect is equal to the level of the card at the top of your deck plus one. Keep in mind that performing Benimaru’s effect requires you to fulfill an EXPERIENCE condition of having a red, yellow, and blue card within your level zone.

To help round off the deck’s flavour, we have some blue cards that top off the recipe with an immense burst of umami. Soka’s card on the left allows you to ditch a level 2 or higher character to spawn a level 0 from your deck. Her card in the middle can return two characters back to the deck and allows her to side attack without penalty. This ability to return cards can help spawn Shion’s combo or to send characters that can be added from Shion’s combo. Rimiru on the right has the Pina effect and the ability to pump power as an ACT ability.

With the deck balancing many colours, it might be difficult to fulfill colour conditions. As such, the cards above can help with adding colours to your clock and level zone. Shuna can pump power when she attacks, but more importantly, she is an Aqua profile to help fix your colours in clock. Souei is a drop search and can swap a card in your level zone with a card in your waiting room. While helping you get specific characters, he can help with fulfilling EXPERIENCE conditions.

To help with the meal’s presentation, we have a couple of backups that can be used as a nice garnish. By fulfilling his EXPERIENCE condition of having a yellow and red card in your level zone, Souei’s backup can send opposing early played characters to the waiting room for a cheap cost. Rimiru’s backup is a Leafa profile that can help with hand-fixing.

For your dessert, we present to you a wide assortment for you to choose from so that you may conclude your meal with a sweet finish. One option is Shion’s signature, her early play dessert, which heals to stock while helping with contesting board with her burst power. Along with being a level 3 killer, Rimiru’s level 2 can send a character from your waiting room to clock to force a refresh. Finally, Shizu’s backrow support allows you to perform a drop search every turn allowing you to convert unwanted cards for specific targets.

The key to tonight’s meal is to have a nice balance of colours as they complement each other and Shion’s cooking mastery. Tonight’s meal has been concluded. We hope you had a wonderful time dining with us tonight, and we hope to see you again in the future.
