For this deck’s finisher, Maya aims for a critical strike. When Maya attacks, her combo gives a character a 4500 power boost and the ability to burn one twice if they reveal a soul trigger. To ensure this effect occurs, be sure to have a plethora of soul triggers within your deck or have some means of re-arranging the top cards of your deck prior to your attack phase.

Claudine matches Maya’s assault with her own flurry of blows. Claudine serves as an excellent target for Maya’s effect and can be an additional secondary finisher. When she takes the stage, she allows you to draw a card and then rearrange the top three cards of your deck. When she reverses her opponent, a cost can be paid as she thrusts her sword forward for an additional three damage. To assist with her reverse condition, she gets a 3000 power boost if there is another character on the stage when she attacks.

Claudine comes with a devilish trick up her sleeve as her level 1 combo allows you to either search or salvage for her card in the center. Outside of her combo, Claudine’s combo gives herself a power boost based on her soul. Her card in the center can exchange the bottom card of your clock with a character in your waiting room. This can be especially helpful if you need something specific in your clock such as an upcoming card below. If her level 1 combo is in your waiting room, she can CHANGE to it at the beginning of your climax phase.
For her early play, Claudine has a very unique ability to optionally sheath her sword, giving herself a 1500 power boost at the cost of losing 2 soul. You can use this to cut down your opponent’s board while stalling them out from reaching level 3. Upon her debut, she allows you to check up to a number of cards from your deck and add one of them equal to the number of characters you have on stage. One final effect of note is that her early play condition requires her brainstormer on the right to be in your clock. The brainstorm itself is a salvage that pumps a static 500 power to your center slot.
Both Maya and Claudine’s cards above help prepare for the climax of their duel. Maya on the left is a Chiyuri profile that looks for a level 1 or higher character, and on top of that, she has an optional effect to mill the top card of your deck and give a soul boost to a character based on the number of soul triggers on the milled card. Claudine on the right is another option as she is a Riki profile that lets you look up to five cards from the top of your deck and add a character from amongst them.
To ensure the duel proceeds smoothly, be sure to utilize Maya’s backup to deal with any of your opponent’s early play threats.
To help her end-game thrusts secure damage, Maya’s level 3 scatters your opponent’s stock with a stock swap effect. Claudine’s level 2 has an ability where if it reverses a level 2 or higher opposing character, she allows you to search for a character to add to hand for a cheap stock cost. Claudine also possesses an outlet for ditching climaxes allowing you to salvage a character in return.
As time is running out and the bright shimmer of the moon and the night begins to fade into dawn, the sounds of clashing steel begin to dampen.
