Dragon Maid – Ilulu/Taketo (G/R) [04/06/2022]

After her mishaps and acceptance of human society, Ilulu moves in with Kobayashi and the rest of the crew. However, just as Kanna goes to elementary school, Tohru works as a maid, and Kobayashi has her full-time job, Ilulu must find her own means of integrating into human society to both grow herself and learn about the world around her. As such, she finds interest in that of a candy shop after her experiences with her new human friends. She takes up a job as a part-time worker, and it is there that she meets Taketo, the owner’s grandson. And soon enough, their adventures begin together.

Ilulu is a tough girl who can do consistent persistent attacks to her opponents. As a seasoned chaos dragon, she looks for nothing more than to engrave damage into her foes. As represented in this card above, Ilulu is able to spam a series of attacks to your opponent with the climax combo adding another potential instance of damage, should your opponent cancel.

To help further ensure her top deck damage, Taketo’s support in the center can help to rearrange your top two cards of your deck as needed. Furthermore, Taketo has a brainstorm punishment effect, where, upon the trigger of a brainstorm effect, if a climax is milled (regardless of whether or not your opponent chooses to use the effect after), he can pump one of your character’s power for the turn.

Ilulu’s other combo is a draw filter, assuming you meet her conditions. Furthermore, her combo lets you spawn a character from you hand in rested whose level is one higher than your current level.

Ideally, powerful targets like the above can be summoned from hand. Both targets above are pretty large with the Ilulu on the right having additional healing at the additional cost of hand.

Ilulu has some interesting pieces on her own. She has a Chiyuri profile to the left that can be used to grab pieces for the level zero Ilulu combo the following turn or during your turn if you force it to waiting room.

The center Ilulu spawns the healing Ilulu onto the stage and grants it power as a one turn beater with the demerit of having it send itself to the waiting room at the end of turn. Furthermore, if you have the 0/0 combo Ilulu in play, you can potentially sack that spawned healing Ilulu into another card from hand. You can alternatively spawn this Ilulu from hand using that Ilulu’s effect, letting you force a 4th attack if need be.

Lastly, the Ilulu to the right acts as a J.C. profile, sacking itself to save another one of your Ilulu or Taketo characters when they are fronted.

Use the other cards to gain advantage and maintain control throughout the game. Use Ilulu and Taketo’s bond to usher you to victory!
