The Chiyuri profile is a profile similar to that of the Akatsuki/Azusa profile. However, the timing works at a generally less opportune spot being that its effect and cost activate when the card is sent to waiting room rather than on play. The difference in timing does force different changes in play considering that the effect is more so dependent on a reverse or being forcibly played over/sent to waiting room by some other means.
Chiyuri first appeared in the Accel World Infinite Burst set in 2016. Since then, many modifications have been made to the effect. There is a special note to be given to Fukaziroh to the right, which is a modified version of the Chiyuri effect which targets the level of a card rather than a trait. This means that Fukaziroh, while having a chance to fail on both level 0s and climaxes, does have the ability to help you fetch events.
Chiyuri, usually not seen as optimal as an Akatsuki/Azusa, does have its own merits. Especially with the changes with Fukaziroh, the card has the potential to net you cards that are not normally obtainable otherwise with an Akatsuki/Azusa effect. Depending on the situation, sometimes the cards you can fetch during the encore phase (ideally the Chiyuri enters the waiting room during your opponent’s turn to mitigate soul damage) may be more beneficial than what you may get compared to the Akatsuki/Azusa profile.

Functionally, the Chiyuri effect is exactly the same as the Akatsuki/Azusa profile. The only major difference between the two profiles being that Chieri happens to have its effect proc when the card is sent to the waiting room rather than on play. Given the changes with cards like Fukaziroh, Chiyuri profiles can have a potential extra bonus comparatively to an Akatsuki/Azusa if you were looking for a means to potentially fetch events. Furthermore, it’s ability being when it’s sent from field to stage rather on play means it could be a decent target for any spawning or standby effect. Either way, use these mill/filter profiles to the best of their ability to help you succeed in your games.
