Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls – New Generations (B/R/Y) [12/13/2021]

New Generations are a unit in the Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls composed of three members: Rin Shibuya, Uzuki Shimamura, and Mio Honda. Together, they collaborate and sing music to bring joy and happiness to their adoring fans. Each of the girls are representative of a specific colour with Blue for Rin, Red for Uzuki, and Yellow for Mio. Combined, they shine like dazzling stars on stage.

The main goal of the deck is to assemble the dazzling girls shown above on the stage. When the three of them are on stage and their specific climax shown below is played, each of them gain their own unique effect.

Starting with the Rin on the left, she’s a global 1000 power assist to all your Music (音楽) characters. Furthermore, when she swings with the climax mentioned in play, you can choose one of your characters (doesn’t have to be Uzuki or Mio) and give them 5000 power cross-turn.

Uzuki, the center card finisher, lets you filter and discard off the top two cards of your deck. When she attacks with the climax mentioned in play, you may pay her costs and deal three damage to your opponent. If your opponent cancels that damage, you may heal up to three cards from your clock.

Lastly, Mio, on the right, is a burst powered beater on play with the ability to prevent the use of backups or events when the climax mentioned is in play and you pay her costs. Keep in mind that her ability affects all your characters (doesn’t have to be Uzuki or Rin). Remember that all their effects require all of them to be on stage.

Similarly to the combo set above, there is another trio of cards also featuring this unit that have their own synergies. However, unlike the previous trio, their effects do not require them all to be on stage, but rather, they synergize with the locations of climaxes.

Starting with the Rin again on the left, this card is a global 500 assist to all Music characters. Furthermore, whenever any of the climaxes listed on the card are triggered by any of your characters (the climax above and the climax below), you may pay her costs to draw a card while effectively cleaning your stock of that trigger.

The Uzuki in the center is a 1000 power backup that turns into a 2500 power backup for no cost as long as both the climax above and below are in your waiting room. Lastly, the Mio to the right gains 4500 power during both player’s attack phase as long as you have the climax below in your waiting room, making it effectively a 1/0 7000 powered beater.

Considering the heavy requirement of establishing the three specific cards at the top for the New Generations combo with IMC/W43-129PR, the above cards are recommended suggestions to help get them to hand. The Natsuki to the left is a filter that helps to add both a red and blue character from the top six cards of your deck to hand.

The center Koume lets you filter through the top four cards of your deck when she is played from hand. If any climaxes are found, you may choose one and add it to hand and discard a card. Otherwise, she is a free mill. She’s very good for getting the specific climax you need into hand potentially.

Lastly, the Rin on the right doubles both as a scry and a filter off the top of your deck when she swings. Alternatively, you may play IMC/W43-082RR instead which has the filter ability on play. Either or, both cards are important for helping with preparing your hand throughout the game. Most importantly, all these cards above are great for filling your waiting room with cards, ideally climaxes even, to set-up the conditions for the 新生 new generations cards.

Some other cards to greatly benefit the deck are shown above. The Yuki to the left is a climax swapper on play. She also comes with a secondary effect that can pump power. Quite honestly, the set has a producer card that accomplishes the same climax swapping effect, but the Yuki shown here has an additional effect. The benefits of using producer instead is that he comes in various colours, letting you adjust your ratios accordingly. In the end, it is ultimate your choice which climax swapper is best suited for your build.

The Miku in the center is a climax filter that exchanges any climax for a character from your waiting room. Additionally, when damage dealt by her is cancelled, you may send her to stock. The Momoka to the right carries a similar effect of going to stock but only when your opponent plays a climax. She is also a level 0 reverser.

Given the high stock requirements of IMC/W41-052R, having the two stock gaining cards in the form of Miku and Momoka greatly benefits the consistency of fielding two or more and getting their effects off.

Some alternative finishers are shown here with their respective conditions. The Anastasia on the left acts as a pseudo re-stander that spawns the Minami in the center upon reversing and paying her costs. The Minami in the center gains burst power equal to the number of your Music characters on stage when she’s played from hand or through Anastasia’s effect. The Kyoko on the right lets you hand filter on play and add a card from the top three cards of the deck. Furthermore, when she attacks, you may pay her costs to deal one damage to your opponent.

As for backups, there isn’t much of a need for power comparisons considering your field does not necessarily matter during your opponent’s turn. The backup shown above is a good option for its utility purposes and ridding the field of a potential cheated out or early played target. As for power backups, if you choose to run any, the Uzuki backup mentioned before should suffice.

Make sure that you meet the field requirements needed to activate the cards’ effects. Try your best to get at least two Uzukis off if possible. There are many ways to build the deck. You may want to try and fit as many New Generations members as possible into the deck as well. Have fun! Take some time to look at the gigantic card pool for the set. がんばります!
