GA Bunko – Beautiful Ashen Witch (Y/B) [06/13/2026]

Who is that beautiful silver-haired youth scouring through the sky? Well, its me, Elaina, of course. I have a friend in real life (I’m sure leaving this sentence enough as is would be shocking enough) who believes that myself and another friend love Elaina for her cute appearance and nothing more. While it is true that we both believe that Elaina is beautiful, we also very much appreciate her grubby, money-chasing, narcissistic personality.

As a bit of a side intro to Elaina or more accurately the Journey of Elaina, the series is embedded in a classical fantasy world. Witches such as Elaina traverse around the world as they learn about its magical charms and repulsion. It is the latter that genuinely makes Elaina stick out to me. While Elaina is a young mage, her travels do not sugarcoat the myriad of experiences that she shares, both the good, the strange, and the bad. In that sense, Elaina’s world is alive and full of both life and death with Elaina providing direct commentary and sharing her own personal emotions as a participant. Even as the protagonist, Elaina isn’t immune to the virtues and struggles of the world as an active living being residing within.

Elaina, the mysterious flying witch, as is within the show itself, dives in and out of the narrative as she recounts her own memories. This is thematically present in her finisher above that loops in and out of the board. In gameplay terms, she bounces in and out of memory, gaining a free ping ability each time she does so (or from hand). Her combo is rather unique because it is the only way of actually getting Elaina out of memory consistently. After paying costs, Elaina draws upon the bond to her mother, Nike, and descends upon the mortal realm to deal two damage. No matter what, whether she is reversed or at the end of turn, Elaina will always float back to memory.

In the early game, Elaina possesses a rather highly efficient combo. At the end of her attack, you may sacrifice her climax in play and then salvage either two characters and/or copies of Saya’s event below. 2/1 Saya in the center can spawn Elaina from your waiting room for a cheap discard cost.

Saya’s event above is a key way to mill the deck and either grab extra stock or extra hand depending on your situation.

There won’t really be any extra suggestions this time around since this build is exclusively sharing Elaina cards. Of course, if you wish to add other cards, feel free and go ahead. Elaina surrounded by fish is a free climax swapper with the two climaxes of this deck. Amnesia is a large beater in the early game and forces you to shuffle your stock when she is sent to waiting room (amnesia hits hard).

1/0 Elaina with the alarm icon is a fairly interesting and unique card. If you do so happen to end up in state where you only have one card on board and this card is at the top of your clock, you get a free draw at the beginning of your encore step. This works exceedingly well with Elaina’s mid-game plan. Elaina essentially “evolves” overtime. 1/0 Elaina on her broom sacrifices herself upon beating over her opponent to send a copy of 2/1 Elaina on the right to memory to be spawned out the following turn (while giving you a check three rearrange). 2/1 Elaina on the right will then be sacrificing herself upon reversing an opponent to send a copy of 3/2 Elaina to memory to loop back on board later while giving you a scry/surveil. In this sense, Elaina levels up over the chapters (these cards are literally called chapter one and two Elaina above respectively) and this is very much shown over here as she increases in power and strength over the series.

The backline for Elaina has already been well tailored to the deck itself. 1/0 Elaina grabs her future selves from the deck and deposits them into your waiting room for the evolution requirements while rewarding one of your characters with power. Her once per turn ability states that if you have an Elaina [イレイナ] in memory, and only a single copy of this on stage, you can reduce the soul of a direct attacker by one. Elaina’s gorgeous salvage brainstorm grants a character power when they enter the stage from hand or memory (once per turn). 2/1 Elaina provides a global level assist ability while also letting you force all players to draw and discard a card.

The last card to mention is that of Elaina’s pseudo-Akatsuki profile. A unique take on the Akatsuki effect, the costs are essentially the same, but you must also resonate this Elaina with a copy of itself to perform the ability.

There are no suggestions. These are literally all the available Elaina cards in the GA Bunko set. If the most beautiful, gorgeous, serendipitous, cute, adorable, perfect, angelic, blessed, intelligent, incredible, fabulous, serene, virtuous, revered, admirable, respected, esteemed, cherished, kind, generous, beloved ashen witch can compose a deck, I believe you can too.

Here, no suggestions, but here’s our goddess Elaina taking out her rage on fruits

What are you even doing still here? Stop being a worthless disciple, pick up the deck, and begin spreading the great word of the silver-haired beauty. And, as a warning, if you turn apostate, she will crush you under foot (I’m sure some of you will actually enjoy that).
