Feeling rather dull and at a standstill in life, Haru is bullied by others for his physical appearance. But everything is changed when he’s introduced to the Brain Burst program and the mysterious avatar known as Kuroyukihime. She tells him that with the power of this program, he can restructure the very reality that surrounds him as he’s brought into a world where technology transcends life itself.

Miss Kuroyukihime herself is the secret identity of the Black King, one of the most prominent members in the virtual world to use the Brain Burst program and the one to grant initial access to Haru to begin with. After a failed attempt to discover the true purpose and the creator of the Brain Burst program, she went into hiding until the main events of the story unfolded.
Depicted here, Kuroyukihime invokes the power of her legion, her own personal group of warriors and allies, Nega Nebulas, to obliterate her foes. When her climax is played while she leads her squad in the front, the Black King grants a different member of her team and herself a large burst of power and the ability to perform a burn effect equal to the level of card revealed from the top of your deck upon having their damage cancelled.

In the early game, the black butterfly princess performs a character salvage on attack with her climax, and then, you reveal the top card of your deck, and if that card is level two or higher, she triggers twice. Kuroyukihime’s combo is an easy way to grab your necessary pieces to hand while also gaining you a large chunk of stock if you build your deck around her in mind. Her secondary effect pairs perfectly with her finisher, wanting a large amount of high level cards to deal damage and charge up stock in the case of her early advantage combo.

As an eight wind deck, we may as well take advantage of our triggers. As such, Kuroyukihime and Fuuko do just the trick here. As a level assist pair, they boost power to the front, and when a wind climax is triggered, you may pay out that trigger to add a card from the top two cards of your deck while discarding the rest.

Want some faster life? (Oh, yeah, yeah)
Giga faster speed? (Oh, yeah, yeah)
Tera faster stage? (Oh, yeah, yeah)
Now you tell me
Where you wanna go? (Accel world)
– Burst the Gravity Lyrics – ALTIMA
We’re Accel World, so what are we doing if we ain’t accelerating towards the sunset? Kuroyukihime and friends have plenty of cards to chase forward into infinity. Our personal recommendations begin here starting with Kuroyukihime at the festival. Kuroyukihime here accelerates and allows us to search out any yellow character to hand and discard a card when she swings. Silver Crow, Haru’s avatar, has a double accelerate where you can use his first ability to give him a large burst of power and protection from backups to ensure that he defeats his foe. Secondly, you can also accelerate himself the ability to blind stock charge and salvage a character when he defeats his opponent. Lastly, Kuroyukihime holding a bouquet grants herself additional power with the accelerate cost and then lets you perform a Maguro effect upon reversing her opponent.
All these options trade your life for the option of increased value. What’s the point of living if we can’t push forward our own ambitions at any cost?

I want to bring special attention to the black fairy above. This Kuroyukihime is great for rewarding us for accelerating our characters. On top of being a global assist, Kuroyukihime grants any of our characters the ability to pay a cost and search our deck for a character upon reversing their opponent when we accelerate. Given this and the numerous hand gaining options, we’ll never run out of attackers to swing into our opponents with. Keep in mind that searching effects are great as they can reduce the chances of us failing to hit our much needed level triggers for both our early and late game combos.

Now, to better support our early game plan of potentially getting targets to help us with our double triggering, we don’t want to run just any level two or higher cards willy-nilly just to fulfill conditions. We want our level two or higher cards to be impactful. And to do so, we’re going to borrow some older cards from an earlier time in Weiss’ history. 2/1 Kuroyukihime stares off into the endless void of possibilities. She’s an assist that needs to tap to grant power to another character on your stage. But more importantly, when she’s rested and at the beginning of your encore step, you may pay her costs to transform her into either one of two Kuroyukihime(s) [we are only playing the one in the center]. The center Kuroyukihime hugging her avatar is the change target for 2/1 Kuroyukihime. This card draws advantage on play and also has a unique accelerate ability to bounce one of our opponent’s level three or lower character to hand. This is important as she can be used to get rid of any potential threats plaguing our finisher. Lastly, the final Black Lotus on the right can be early played if we have Festival Kuroyukihime from before in our clock. This card gives us a redraw on play and can sacrifice itself to give massive power to one of our characters being attacked.
These cards can be used in conjunction to either punish our opponent’s board and/or stretch out our mid-game advantage.

Our secret tech here is this Kuroyukihime above. As our Kuroyukihime finisher does have the problem of dealing no damage with her finishing effect if we reveal any level zero characters or climaxes, we can try to minimize this by using this card’s on attack effect to make sure to fill our deck with plenty of live targets for her. With the additional hand encore on the card, this card could be a nice recursive threat that continually pumps soul into our opponent’s clock to pressure them and increase the lethality chance of our finishers.

In defence of our legion, Kuroyukihime has some backups to defend her team. Kuroyukihime among the sunflowers is a refresh backup that can be used to make sure our deck is chock full of cancels or alternatively to fill our deck with more live targets for our finishers for our following next turn. Kuroyukihime in the pink background is a regular 2000 powered backup which is an option should you wish.
To support the team, Metatron joins in as a level two target and permanent way to grant us power and a Koume effect when we use an accelerate ability. To get her into memory, we have to pay her “unfortunate” cost of bouncing an opponent’s character back to hand. 0/0 Black Lotus is a standard drop searcher. Nico posing with her avatar is a climax swapper profile. Pard is a unique accelerator that grants her a scry on attack and pseudo Clean Cut ability. Kuroyukihime hugging Haru in his avatar form is our search brainstorm for the deck that also grants a large amount of power on play to one of our characters. Haruyukihime staring into space is a 4000 powered beater with a light demerit of resting herself on play only if your opponent is out three or more climaxes.
Keep moving forward and don’t stop. Don’t even bother to look back. As we chase forward, the past becomes irrelevant as our hopes lie in the future in front of us. Reach out and take charge of your own destiny.
