It is said that in the mystical lands of Numazu, there lives a legendary mage possessing powers beyond imagination. The magnificent lady strides down the cobblestone paths with her trusty familiar, a powerful loyal wolf who sticks close to her master. Together, these two journey on an adventure of a lifetime as they must face the excitements and surprises that await them in this magical world.
To be fair, I bought the deckbuilder game on sale for like eight dollars. I haven’t finished it in its entirety, but I can say one thing for sure. Long live Yohane, Yoshiko is dead!!

Beginning with our mighty queen herself, Yohane is here to close out games in an effective manner. With just her climax alone, Yohane deals a single point of damage on attack, but if you do manage to have a marker underneath her, you may pay her additional costs at the start of your encore phase to deal another two points of damage.

In ordered to help our disillusioned queen, her loyal friend and hound, Lailaps, is a level assist with a peculiar ability. On top of granting one of your characters additional soul and power at the start of your attack phase if it has a marker, she can rest herself to place the marker underneath itself under 3/2 Yohane or choose a specific other Lailaps card from waiting room to marker under Yohane instead.

Speaking of which, the aforementioned card is the Lailaps on the left which is itself a standard Fukaziroh profile. On top of its first ability, you can also sacrifice the card while it is standing to marker itself underneath one of your other characters with either Yohane [ヨハネ] or Lailaps [らいラプス] in its name. Our other happy pup lets you marker a copy of the same Lailaps on the left on play underneath any Yohane or Lailaps without a marker from waiting room. It is also a Helmet profile for either her master or herself.

In the early game, in order to maintain our hand, Yohane’s Oboro combo will readily bounce back while maintaining pressure on the board. Her second ability is not used here (it is meant for a different deck).

To go along with the plans of the spectacular Yohane, the two beaters above provide different forms of utility. Yohane can discard a card on swing to trigger twice, helping us ideally trade our extra bars in hand for additional stock and damage. Lailaps is a clock kicking profile, giving a character the ability to punish our opponent’s board and getting rid of any annoying threats by swapping them with their clock on reverse, presuming you have a bar climax in play.

A special treat for our opponent arrives in the late game is through the ever loyal protector, Lailaps. Lailaps is an honest level two beater with an on-play ability to give itself additional cross-turn power and also bodyguard until the end of our opponent’s next turn. As a loyal hound, Lailaps sits in the front defending our magical genius as she concocts her next spell.

A special ability of Yohane’s is to create miracles out of any situation she is in. Danger and misfortune may be synonymous to the Yohane name, but with the power of friendship and her indomitable and creative spirit, Yohane is always able to conjure a way to escape or get out of the messes that she (creates) ends up in. With that in mind, should you find yourself in danger, pull out Yohane’s Magic Wand and wave it into the air, calling upon the kindred spirits of old to guide you to safety. In practice, Yohane’s Magic Wand above is a discounted money counter that requires you to discard a climax in addition to its other costs which flows very well with our eight bar deck.

Considering our 1/0 Yohane bounces back to hand and our low level profiles are relatively weak on our opponent’s turn, defensive counters don’t provide as much value, but the utility effects can be very helpful. To this end, Lailaps is a Leafa counter to help us fix our hand. 2/2 Yohane’s huge backup may seem expensive, but in combination with our bodyguard Lailaps, Lailaps can more than readily surprise and strike down many of our unprepared opponents, even perhaps many of their level three finishers.
The primary concern for Yohane is being able to mill out her deck. In order to do so, we have multiple measures to do so. We already have our Fukaziroh Lailaps profile, but to additionally supplement our mill, we have the Yohane Operation Tornado event, perfect for filtering through our deck and helping grab our pieces. 2/1 Yohane lost in the cosmos is a Fumio profile to push your opponent’s deck into an unfortunate position. 0/0 confident-looking Yohane is a level zero clock reverser that can put the top card of your deck to clock to give you additional stock on play. 0/0 Yohane in the white dress is a drop search profile that can also rearrange her top two triggers on swing. 2/1 Lailaps is a constant check three, add one profile beginning at level two that can help with grabbing cards such as climaxes and events that brainstorms normally cannot. 0/0 stoic-looking Yohane is a 4000 profile with a minimal downside where your opponent can pay out two stock to prevent her from fronting.
The world of Numazu is both charming and dangerous. Magical creatures are all about, ready to play pranks or torture our already troubled grand wizard, Yohane. However, with the power of bonds and friends, Yohane and Lailaps can rise to any challenge, taking out all manners of enemies that oppose and threaten the joy and safety of those around her.
