Touhou Project – Shrine Maiden’s Journey (R) [06/09/2026]

Back in 1996, a certain shrine maiden detected a disturbance in the spiritual world around her. In response to this, and prayers themselves, the young Reimu Hakirei embarked on a journey that would forever change the world.

As expected, Reimu Hakirei is the star of this deck profile. Standing alone in the front row of your stage, Reimu delivers a flurry of seven escalating blows to your opponent after she attacks and you pay her costs.

To better support Reimu above, these two backrow cards provide some much needed assistance. Beginning with Reimu’s brainstorm, a board condition for the finisher, this card lets you discard a copy of the finisher as an ACT ability to filter through your deck for a character and boost one of your character’s power for the turn. As for 2/1 Reimu, this supporter has an interesting ability with your finisher where, when their damage from the climax combo damage is not cancelled, you may place cards from your waiting room underneath it as a marker. And then, at the start of your encore phase, you must discard all markers underneath her, and if there are seven sent to waiting room in this way, you may deal twelve individual pings to your opponent. Her other supportive ability allows you to transform two characters on field into two card draws. Think of this card as backup insurance should your opponent truly pull a miracle itself.

In the early game, Reimu takes the spotlight once more. At the end of her attack with her combo, with a bit of luck and modifying of deck ratios, she lets you reveal the top card of your deck and then lets you choose a character whose level is equal or lower from your waiting room and giving you option to add to hand or stock. Then, if the revealed card was level one or higher or a copy of Reimu’s brainstorm from before, she gains an Oboro ability herself.

Some other friends to help Reimu out are here. Remilia Scarlet both mills your deck and provides a sacrifice outlet for your board. Since you do need your front row to be clear when Reimu attacks, you can use her ability when you play a climax to sacrifice a character in the front row to mill your deck and retrieve a card in hand in return. Rumia lets you use her as either a Fumio profile or a stock shuffler. Lastly, Sakuya gives you a way to heal while boosting Reimu’s power in front. Furthermore, if you can afford the resources, you can use her for her secondary finishing ability as well.

Suika charges in the front as a lovely oni ready for battle. When she reverses an opponent with a door climax in play, you can add a character from the top four cards of your deck. Misuzu is a filter profile that also refunds her stock costs if you have a full field in play. Lastly, Patchouli Knowledge lets you dig through your deck readily to grab a character you need while buffing herself.

If you want to absolute protection for Reimu’s finisher, Reimu’s PR above will guarantee that by forcing an opponent to be unable to use backups during Reimu’s battle (events can still be used). And if you want the absolute guarantee, you can also sacrifice her to bounce an opposing character back to hand so Reimu can definitely get her climax combo to go through without worry.

For protection, if you wish for it, Aya is more than ready to arrive just in the nick of time to send your opponents daring to touch your precious friends to memory permanently.

Some last minute members of Gensokyo have reached out to join Reimu on her adventure. The sneaky witch Marisa is our first contender as an Adachi profile that kicks her opponent straight to memory. As an additional effect, she can sacrifice herself to stand two characters on your opponent’s board and swap their places. The small devil, however tiny she may be, lets you cantrip through your deck. Flandre swoops in and gives you two different offers: she can gain a chasing ability or, for a small taste of your blood, she can transform into a J.C. profile. Sakuya is a Koume profile when sent to waiting room to help you dig through your deck for a climax. Hata no Kokoro is a global assist that also functions as a drop search profile. Lastly, Reimu is an exact clone of Misuzu from before if you would like to use her instead.

Reach Stage 4A of Imperishable Night and you shall encounter the shrine maiden at her full power. Survive until the end, and with the power of her eight yin-yangs, she will fire a magical spell (夢想天生) that will send you flying.
