Uma Musume – Gray Ghost (Y/B) [03/27/2026]

From the humble fields of Kasamatsu arrives a champion in the making. Without any warning, Oguri Cap arrived on the scene, and in a dashing display of skill and superiority, she began winning competition after competition unfazed. Whether it be the local fields or the large-scale racetracks in Tokyo, Oguri is more than ready to take on anyone.

Rushing towards the finish line at breakneck speed, Oguri puts everything into her final spurt, tucking her head below and overwhelming all her opponents. By paying her costs with her climax in play, she deals a large burst of damage to your opponent, and then, if you choose to pay for her additional ability at the end of her attack, you move her climax into your clock, and with the last of her restrictions removed, declaring victory at any cost, mill the top two cards of your deck, dealing damage for each event or card with a soul trigger milled.

To directly support their friend, Belno Light, Oguri’s close friend, grabs Oguri’s climax from deck or waiting room on play, and if she’s in the level zone, she can grant any character additional power at the start of your attack phase against level two or higher cards. Oguri’s event gives all your characters a once-per-turn cancel ability, and if it is in your level zone, you can give one of your finisher Oguri(s) a bit more power and protection from backups.

Oguri’s early game combo is a little odd. When her climax is played, and you meet conditions, you grant a character of your choice the on-reverse, check four, and reveal two level one or higher cards to your opponent. You choose one to add to hand, and the other goes to stock. While the advantage may not always be to your preference, any slight bit of advantage is all that Oguri needs to secure the win.

As another incentive to run Oguri’s combo above, there are two other direct supportive cards as shown here. Belno is Oguri’s personal supporter and close friend, and this is directly shown through her assisting cards here. The salvage brainstorm on the left rewards you if you so happen to mill a copy of itself during its brainstorm ability, letting you reveal the top card of your deck and add it to hand if it’s a copy of the brainstorm or a level one or higher card. In addition, on climax play, you can perform a level swap with your waiting room to ensure Oguri and others meet their experience conditions. 2/1 Belno on the right grants a soul icon to all copies of your brainstormer and Oguri’s choice climax while granting two more useful abilities. It is a level assist during your turn, granting 1000 power for each level versus the typical 500, and on top of that, at the beginning of your attack phase, she can grant a character a salvage hand fix ability upon reverse.

Furthermore, if you consider solitude to be the strength of Oguri’s rival, Tamamo Cross, then the power of friendship truly defines Oguri’s strength. This is evidenced by Kitahara’s event, Oguri’s trainer, whom searches a character on play, but if he is in your level zone, you may pay his costs to transform level one Oguri into her Nationals form in 2/1 Oguri shown here, a true testament to the the bond between trainer and horse.

2/1 Oguri herself is a large beatstick that also has a combo (optional) which salvages hand, and when damage is cancelled, allows you to either add the Clean Cut Oguri to hand or bottom of stock while stocking one additional card. In essence, if you want to turbo charge stock potentially, you could play her combo or just keep her as an additional beater for the mid game.

As I stated before, Oguri’s power comes from the friends that support her. Norn above is no exception. As a diehard Oguri fan, Norn can bond to either of three different Oguri cards, one of which is the level one combo, another that is not in this specific deck, and the Oguri restander off-finisher. In addition, Norn can recycle herself to add a character from the top four cards of your deck.

If it isn’t obvious at first glance, Oguri’s early game combo may cause some struggle through the forcing of higher level cards ratios to better your chances of her level one combo succeeding. Oguri’s combo adds and stocks only level one cards, so you’ll have to build with this in mind. Luckily, as planned by our gracious endless gluttonous stomach of a horse (Oguri), we have some solutions to this dilemma. While the ratios cannot necessarily be modified too much, we can opt to run some more powerful cards that leverage our advantage despite being outside the general utility ranges of level zero.

Our wonderful friend, Belno Light shines once more as a double hand filter on play that grabs cards with the experience [経験] keyword with a level three killer power pump if she’s in the level zone. Her first primary ability is very important because many of Oguri’s cards, including her finisher, do carry that keyword text. Oguri looking shocked in the center is a way to cheaply recover hand at the cost of life. The marker condition isn’t very likely with this deck, but it is a possibility nonetheless if you choose to build with inheritance in mind. Belno staring forward with resolve is a stock Adachi profile that also grants cross-turn clock encore to one of your characters at the beginning of your attack phase while in level zone.

In the very early game, Oguri has several options available to her to leave an impact on the field. Oguri’s card on the left is the Clean Cut profile that was mentioned by her 2/1 combo from earlier. The duo pair of Oguri and Tamamo are a J.C. profile to help recycle your other cards. Lastly, the ashen beauty standing on the race track is a large beater that can potentially bounce to hand if damage during her battle is cancelled both offensively and defensively.

In terms of defensive options, Oguri has a few up her sleeve. Her first on the left with her eating a mountain of croquettes is an anti-change counter to get rid of any cheated threats while offering your opponent a free stock as an alternative. Oguri on the phone is a bit of an interesting counter that requires the discarding of specifically a choice climax and sacking a character to give an opponent in battle an additional six soul (in hopes that you cancel or eat another six). Roppei, I mean Musaka, is a heal counter that works on a gamble where you will heal more the closer you are to death itself (it also has a nice power boost ability in your level zone).

Oguri is full of energy and is ready to race on the race track. Oguri wearing her signature tiara provides both hand gain and filter together when you pay her costs after she reverses her opponent. Oguri shooting for the stars grants burst power on play to a character of your choice and can shuffle back two characters to give any of your characters an additional soul. Oguri’s mind in cosmos has a built-in scry ability and can let you pay her costs to check and add a card from the top of your deck based on the number of your opponent’s characters. Oguri in her dirty uniform can discard a card and sacrifice herself to spawn any character with Oguri Cap [オグリキャップ] in its name from hand to stage equal to your current level or lower. Oguri with her silly expression gains burst power on play and can kick any reversed character to the bottom of your opponent’s deck (assuming you meet her stock conditions).

Oguri has the brightest heart and endless stomach capacity. She’s rough and tough and knows where to assert her dominance. Never looking down on others, she only has one goal in mind, to reach the peak, the cap you may say. Charge and ascend forward! May her ashen trails guide you to victory (especially if you have at least 146,738 fans while racing down the Arima Kinen).
