Within the halls of Hatsuboshi Gakuen lies a group of first-years who are energized and ready to show off the power of pop to the unsuspecting world. That is, of course, if they can get themselves together. Starting things off with the face of the series itself, Hanami Saki, is a bright star looking to bedazzle the world if she’s not busy causing trouble with her younger sister, Hanami Ume. Fujita Kotone, potentially the brains of the group, has her own lists of troubles and her millions of upcoming money schemes to get rich quick. Lastly, Tsukimura Temari is a bold-faced singer on stage but a sweethearted muffin on the inside who is also, ironically, struggling to stop filling herself with literal muffins.

Kotone is the star of this show. As an incentive to keep her on stage, you get to spawn any character from your hand for free when you play her stage, potentially filling your entire front row with Kotone. After paying her heavy costs when she attacks with her climax, you’ll deal a shot of damage, give yourself protection from AUTO based damage during battle, and decrease the soul of characters in front of her until the end of your opponent’s turn. Nobody can outshine this golden retriever.

In order to pay Kotone’s exuberant tax dodging, Saki’s combo supplies us with both additional stock and hand for the late game. After declaring dominance over her opponent with her climax in play, Saki gets her must deserved praise and head pat.

Kotone and Saki work out the logistics for the mission. Kotone can cheaply spawn Saki for a single stock, allowing us to reuse her combo should we draw another copy of her climax. Saki posing in the center trades our life for additional stock, perfect for helping in the endgame. Lastly, Saki on the right is a Helmet profile that can fetch all the Re;Iris members, letting us loop cards from the waiting room.

The cool and elegant dorky husky, Temari, is a key piece to helping us with preserving hand, especially in the early game. She pumps power and costs only a single stock during our opponent’s turn to keep herself alive. She’ll send herself to memory as well for some additional requirements in the deck. The golden retriever in her summer outfit is a way to filter through our deck while also giving additional top deck rearrange. Lastly, our cocker spaniel cooking up a meal is a way to clock ourselves and fix our hand while also filling our waiting room with goodies.

Ultimately, the question that is asked is for what purpose are we putting our unit members into memory? The pay-off is the Saki shown above. If we have at least one card of each colour in our memory, Saki gives us the ability to tap herself and rearrange our top two cards of our deck and or discard either into our waiting room. She also gives us the necessary additional power to make sure 1/0 Saki dominates her opponent.

The selfless Saki shields our members with her loving embrace, providing our girls with a memory kick ability upon reversing their opponents.
Rounding out the cast, we begin with Trick or Treat Temari, an odd choice, but her purpose is to be free costless card in memory. Her memory condition can be awkward, but in certain situations, she’ll be fantastic as a way to beat down our opponents while fleeing to memory during our opponent’s turn. Saki in a Christmas outfit will stock flush our opponent, hopefully clearing their deck of climaxes. Luna say maybe Temari is a brainstorm that can also send copies of itself from waiting room to memory to meet our blue colour condition. Kotone jumping into the air is our search Riki profile that also sends itself to memory if she’s reversed or at the end of her attack (if you have one memory or less). Kotone’s PR card gives us additional soul damage while being a stock bomb and one of the only costless soul triggers in the deck. 2/1 Kotone is a super Adachi profile, assigning the ability to two of our characters, and can punch through our opponent’s defences for a ton of damage.
Re;Iris is here. And just like the irises that flower after the rain, they have arrived to bring out sunshine and joy.
