The field of physics and quantum mechanics is full of unknowables and wonders, and despite our best efforts to uncover its secrets, the less we understand its grand machinations. Now, I may not be an expert in the concepts of quantum mechanics, but I like to call things how I see them. “|α⟩=∑n=0∞e−|α|2/2αnn!−−√|n⟩” is not an equation. It’s just a set of magical moon runes with numbers and letters mashed in.

As an expert in the mysterious field of quantum mechanics, Futaba can hypothesize equations that will help her bend the rules and conventions of the world. As her hypothesis states, when Futaba introduces the variable of a reversed opposition, it will create a variable called cost (𝓒). Taking the accompanying variables of stock (𝓼) and hand (𝒽), she can plug them into the equation 2𝓒^{𝓼/3}*{-+1√𝒽}= PSI*9000. This will result in a chain reaction, creating an immense force that allows Futaba to rebound herself to her original stance, putting her in the perfect position for a follow-up attack.

We can make some minor adjustments by including an extra variable armed with our new formula (-1𝓒*3𝒽)+2𝓒^{𝓼/3}*{-+1√𝒽}= 2PSI*9000^3500. By plugging in this formula, Futaba’s attack can pack some extra power. Futaba’s backrow support above pumps power based on a character’s level; although, more importantly, she’s a dedicated supporter for her finisher. By sending herself to waiting room, Futaba’s support provides both immense burst power to her finisher and the ability to discard two cards to deal an extra point of damage when the finisher attacks.

With the inclusion of Futaba’s backrow costs, Futaba’s perfect finishing equation may prove infeasible due to the increase of variable (𝒽); thankfully, her level two combo can help supplement the required hand. 1/0 Futaba looking away has an on-play effect that performs a draw ditch effect, and when her climax is played, she sends herself to waiting room and spawns her level two combo from hand. Futaba’s level two combo is a Minami profile that performs her check effect twice.

On the other end of the equation, we must ensure that the (𝓼) variable is satisfied as its value will fluctuate throughout the match. Her begrudging relationship with Sakuta is an unexpected source of stock as his card’s on-play effect sends a copy of Futaba’s vanilla level zero from waiting room to stock. Futaba’s backrow support allows you to rest two characters, and when a selected character reverses their opponent, you can blindstock the top card of your deck.

If we have an abundance of extra resources or if the opponent throws a sticky threat, Futaba can pull a few numbers and calculate some systematic countermeasures. When you pay her cost, 1/0 Futaba drinking coffee allows you to exchange an opposing character with a character from their waiting room. The level of the newly spawned character must be a level or lower than the original character. Futaba’s level three beater can be early played if your opponent has a level three character on their stage. Once she enters the stage, Futaba will reveal the top card of your deck. If the revealed card is a character, your opponent will mill the top card of their deck and then you can send an opposing character in the front row to the top of your opponent’s deck.

Keeping Futaba’s level two combo can set us up nicely for the end game, and keeping it around can put our opponents on the back foot. Futaba’s level one counter is a vanilla backup that pumps immense power, and her level two counter allows you to send reversed opponents to your opponent’s memory.
Futaba with a shrewd pose is an on-play drop salvage profile, and when she attacks, she can inflict a power debuff on a character in your opponent’s front row. Futaba mid-conversation is an on-play drop search profile and is a clock reverser that targets costless characters. Futaba with a cruel expression is a draw brainstomer whose on-play effect allows you to cantrip with the top card of your deck if it is a character. Futaba in a casual outfit has a clock kick ability effect, and her on-play effect allows you to look up to three cards from the top of deck and add a card from among them. Futaba in her winter outfit is both a climax swapper on play and Chiyuri profile when sent to waiting room. Chibi Futaba‘s on-play effect sends a lone costless front row character to the bottom of your opponent’s deck. Futaba with a worried expression pumps defensive power and can rest herself to pump burst power to a character with either Sakuta (梓川 咲太) or Futaba (双葉 理央) in their name.
So what exactly is quantum mechanics? To be honest, I’m by far the last person who should answer that question. Though there is a saying that the more we learn about quantum mechanics, the less we understand it. While many will theorize and conjure grandiose equations, I’ll just sit in a corner and turn cards sideways.
