The new world from Yggdrasil has many factions and kingdoms whose rulers strike fear in the hearts of many. Among the ranks of feared rulers, one name stands above them, Jaldabaoth. Believe me, if you hear that he and his gang of battle maids are pulling up, you better get to stepping because they’re bad news.
While everyone knows him as the Demon Emporer Jaldabaoth, the boys back at the crib call him Big J. Yet, no matter what he’s called, nothing changes the fact that he’s an absolute menace. When Demiur- I mean Big J, makes his presence on the stage, you mill the top card of your deck. Based on the level of the milled card, Big J can choose any opposing character on your opponent’s stage whose level is equal to or lower and kill ’em. Don’t expect to get away with any funny business on Big J’s watch as his combo allows you to salvage a character and deal a point of damage when his damage is cancelled.
Behind his gang’s signature sinister mask, Big J reveals himself to be the crafty Demiurge, a demon who’s always plotting and scheming. Being the ever-nasty schemer, his on-play effect allows you to check the top two cards of your deck, add one of them to hand, and then send the rest to your waiting room while also requiring you to discard a card. When his climax is played, Demiurge sends himself to waiting room as he dawns on the gang’s mask, replacing himself with Big J from hand in Demiurge’s place.
Demiurge is always thinking three steps ahead of his rival gangs. He has backup plans for his backup plans, and he doesn’t play around when it comes to planning out the misery of anyone who pulls up to his block. If you fulfill his field requirements when he attacks, Demiurge allows you to perform one of two effects: the first one allows you to perform an Akatsuki effect. The second effect he can perform allows you to salvage a level two or higher character from your waiting room. With this and Big J’s on-play effect, it is incentivized to run a great number of high level characters in the deck.

With a plan being set into motion, it’s time for the rest of the squad to roll up and hype up their boss while making their opponents look goofy. Yuri, the squad’s vice captain, has an on-play effect that allows you to draw and ditch two cards. Additionally, if you have four or more other characters, her on-play effect allows you to stock a character from waiting room. Naberal is a Taigei profile that has the added bonus of sending her reversed opponents to memory, helping us permanently dispose of any pesky opposition. While he may have scuffled with the gang before, undercover gang member Momon has a twin drive effect while being an Adachi profile that sends his target to stock.
In or out of battle, Demiurge never stops scheming. At a moment’s notice, when an opponent is on his turf, he’s ready to scrap with a plan. Bolstering his gang’s fighting spirit, Demiurge’s card on the left pumps burst power to your entire field and allows you to look at the top card of your deck whenever a character is played. Demiurge on the right is a stock reverser that targets costless characters, and on top of that, if you fulfill his field conditions, he allows you to perform an on-attack choose trigger ability. Use Demiurge’s crafty effects to gain information and adjust your strategy accordingly.
Coming in clutch, the Jaldabaoth Gang’s undercover members stand ready to jump the opposition when the time is right. Nabe’s counter is an anti-change counter helping the gang deal with early-played threats. Big homie Momon is a counter that mills the bottom cards of your opponent’s deck with the number of cards milled based on number of characters on your field.
Squad up! it’s time for the gang to assemble the rest of its members and lock in. Demiurge asserting his loyalty to the gang is a supporter that pumps power to level three characters in front of him, assisting in the survivability of his finisher. Additionally, he can rest himself to grant a character the ability to perform a force draw and discard when they reverse their opponent. CZ looking uninterested is a check three-add-one brainstormer that also pumps power whenever an opponent is reversed. Demiurge exclaiming is a climax swapper profile whose on-play effect allows you to mill the top three cards of the deck. Nabe is a level three early play card that has an on-play cantrip effect. Solution has an on-play effect that mills the top two cards of the deck, and if both of the cards are characters, she chooses a character in your opponent’s backstage and prevents them from standing during your opponent’s next stand phase. Also, when she attacks, she reveals the top card of your deck and performs a force draw and discard if the revealed card is a character. Naberal in a battle stance is an early play level three with a vanilla heal that also serves as a high level card for Demiurge’s effects. Demiurge with a sinister grin gains immense power if you fulfill his field condition and gains a free run ability if he is in the center slot.
The word around the block is that Big J is not just some demonic gang leader but perhaps the absolute personification of evil itself. Anyone who steps up to Big J better think again. Anyone who throws shade or disrespect his way will be on the receiving end of a slow and diabolical execution.
