In the eyes of a demon, the average life span of a fictional human is but a blink of an eye. However, what if a demon decided to devote themselves to a master? Demons are known for their malicious behaviour, but what if one was to loyally devote themselves to the betterment of their own master?
With a cordial demeanour and poise, Diablo acts as a butler and a dignified bodyguard for his dear master; with his demonic powers, no stain or trash will dare sully his master’s image. During your turn, if there is a card with Rimiru [リムル] in its name on stage, Diablo will gain immense burst power. This burst power is very much needed for his combo as, when he reverses his opponent, he performs an Akatsuki effect that also sends one of the revealed characters to stock.

While the deck will have a fair amount of Rimiru cards, a good way to ensure Diablo can get his power boost is by using some backrow Rimiru cards that can provide some added utility. Rimiru’s card on the left is a search brainstormer that pumps power whenever an opposing character is reversed, pumping even more power for Diablo’s reverse condition. Another interesting choice is Rimiru in the middle that can rest himself to marker a character from waiting room and then rest himself again the following turn to add the markered character to hand. To speed up the process, we can use the event on the right that specifically stands the aforementioned Rimiru card to allow you to grab the marker card immediately while allowing you to perform an Akatsuki effect.
Rimiru has a vast pool of skills and magic to pull from but for this post, he will be using his finisher that combos with a wind-shot trigger. When played from hand or through the effect of “Inherited Wishes Rimiru” [受け継いだ想い リムル], Rimiru checks up to three cards from the top of your deck and adds a card among them. Utilizing Diablo’s stock generation, Rimiru’s finisher can finish the opposition by comfortably unleashing his burn two assault.
Taking on the appearance of a warrior who met a certain golden-eyed demon, Rimiru’s card on the left can transform into his aforementioned finisher by spawning into it from waiting room. To do so, you must be level three and Rimiru must marker Shizu’s climax swapper. Along with a human appearance, Shizu leaves behind another gift by stocking a character from waiting room to refund the costs of the 2/1 Rimuru card.
With both climaxes possessing the wind-shot trigger, the enigmatic Diablo shows off his skill set by synergizing with his master’s climax. When he reverses an opponent while a climax with the wind trigger is in play, Diablo can add a level one or higher card from the top of your deck.

In terms of backups, a perfect choice is Rimiru’s and Diablo’s Leafa backup which perfectly shows the master-and-servant relationship between them.
Helping his master finish off the opposition Diablo looking dapper can send an opposing level two or lower backstage character to the top of your opponent’s deck. Rimiru posing with his sword is a Chiyuri profile which can help mill the deck while potentially fetching some high level cards including Rimiru’s event. Squaring off against Diablo, Shizu’s all powerful mask is an event that searches for a character while sending itself to memory. We can grab this event using the aforementioned Chiyuri or Diablo’s pseudo combo (for flavour sake the variant shown is the only one that can be used). Rimiru with a grim expression can spawn a level zero or lower character from waiting room, helping us secure Rimiru’s backrow supports. Diablo with razor sharp claws is a high powered level three killer. Finally, Shizu in the shade is a cantrip that can be early played.
Upon Rimiru’s ascension to a demon lord, he has gained many new magic and skills. The crown jewel among them all is the devout lifetime friendship he carries with his newly acquired butler. Through a cup of tea and handful of snacks, Rimiru uncovers the ancient knowledge and stories possessed by his trusty butler acquired throughout his many centuries of observation.
