Million Live – Flower Stand (Y/B) [03/20/2023]

A beautiful bouquet is a bundle of colorful floral arrangements placed in a particular pattern or fashion, carefully put together by a professional, made for artistic decoration or a heartful gift from one to their loved one. Symbolizing beauty, spring, fertility and the like, there’s nothing like the age-old gift of flowers to show how one feels about another.

The breed of flower carries its own distinct meanings that can be anything from endurance and fortitude to endearing love. However, in the case for this deck, our flowers are meant to be carefully arranged for our opponent’s funeral and stained red from the brutal defeat they will be getting.

The flower stand events shown above appear in their various versions. Their effect lets you salvage a character to hand and send themselves to memory. Afterwards, you reveal the top of your deck and send that card to stock if it is a level 0 or lower character.

There are two combos that synergize well with Flower Stand. The one shown for this deck is Tsubasa above who has a filtering ability with her climax on swing, letting you discard a card, to check the top four cards of your deck and add either two characters or Flower Stands to your hand.

Kaori is the finisher of choice. She is a healer with the ability to give another character two different effects. The first ability lets the character on attack discard two characters to deal a single point of damage and gain power for the turn. The second ability lets that same character deal two damage once per turn when that character’s damage is canceled. Keep in mind that Kaori’s ability is placed on a character of your choice other than herself.

Reika is a discard bonder to the event. Shiho is an anti-early play bottom deck reverser with the additional ability to pump a character by 1500 power for the turn if you have two or more Flower Stands in memory. Serika is an early play if you have two or more Flower Stands in memory. She’s a healer that has a nice ability to blind stock the top of your deck whenever she reverses a character that is level two or higher.

For our backrow, Ayane is a global support that also pumps an additional 500 power in front if you have two or more Flower Stands in memory. Miya is a salvage brainstorm with a nice tap self check ability to let you scry away the top card of your deck if it is level one or higher, helping us with hopefully getting the extra stock for our Flower Stands.

Konomi is a great addition that can act as a pseudo combo if we don’t have Tsubasa available. Rio is a cheap discard hand fix that can also sacrifice herself to bounce one of your opponent’s characters. Lastly, Chizuru is a Fumio profile that can force your opponent into a poor deck state.

Due to our deck wanting to run more level zeros to guarantee our event’s stock refund, Rio is exceptional as a first turn play to potentially generate an extra character on swing. Her second ability lets you mill your deck when she’s reversed and potentially put herself into stock as well. Iori and Konomi have the same duty of helping to check the top of our deck. Iori lets you pump a character’s power if you reveal a character from the top of your deck while also letting you discard a climax to salvage a character on-play. Konomi is an anti-runner with a top check ability to give herself additional power.

Shizuka is an oversized backup if you have two or more flower stands in memory. She hits 4000 power being quite a substantial boost to keep your characters alive. She pairs very well with Serika to potentially save her and retain stock during your opponent’s turn. Plus, she’s cute.

Be sure to fill your deck with plenty of level zeros to try and value off the Flower Stand event. In that sense, top check cards such as that of Ayumu and Hinata are great to give you open information before you use your Flower Stand. Mami and the trio of Takane, Tamaki and Noriko can potentially net Flower Stand to your hand. Mizuki can be a cheap way to cheat cards onto the field and help with a bit of colour fixing. Iori helps greatly in this deck with all the level zeros floating around. She can turn them into sizeable beaters while being a flexible card that can sacrifice itself from field to add a character from the top four cards of your deck.
