During his climb out of the abyss, Hajime transcends into the emo protagonist he was meant to be. To survive his trip into the abyss, he needed to amass an arrangement of magical abilities, an army’s worth of weapons, mechanical implements, and most importantly, his loli vampire wife Yue. With his transformation complete and his wife secured, the ultimate edgelord shoots down anyone that gets in his way.
As a master marksman, Hajime has a multitude of guns suited to dispatch a wide variety of enemies. Hajime’s climax combo gives him a 2000 power boost and the ability to perform a flexible burn effect when he attacks. The amount of damage dealt is based on the level of the discarded card, but through the almighty power of his eye patch, the amount of damage will be increased by one. Be sure to have a wide variety of levels in your hand to deal damage best suited for the situation. This Hajime is also needed for other RESONATE abilities so be sure to have him in hand to utilize those effects.
Yue supports her husband with her magical abilities. She enhances her abilities by giving herself a static 1000 power boost if there are two or more characters on stage. Her climax combo is a RESONATE ability that requires Hajime’s level three. Once her condition is met, you may add the top card of your deck if it’s a character and then she sends the top card of your deck into your stock.
Though Hajime’s actions may be beyond her comprehension, Yue supports her husband by making good use of door triggers. On the left, her salvage brainstormer may only hit door triggers but it reveals five cards compared to the usual four. She can also give a character a 2000 power boost if your opponent sends a character to memory. An option to fulfill the brainstormer’s power boost is the Yue on the right as she can temporarily send an opponent’s character to their memory. Her RESONATE ability allows you to ditch a card to look up to four cards and add a character from amongst them.
Yue’s backrow assist provides a global 1500 power boost in front and a nicer on-play ability. When she’s played from hand, you can pay a stock and ditch a card to search for a climax with a door trigger. Be sure to utilize this to either loop Yue’s level one combo or to prepare for Hajime’s level three combo.
The cards above display the duality of Hajime: the cowardly beta male and the alpha chad of an edge lord. Hajime’s beta level zero on the left has the Pina effect. Additionally, when beta Hajime is attacked, his cost can be paid as he makes you clock yourself and triumphantly sends himself to memory to spawn alpha chad Hajime. Alpha Hajime gets a static 2000 power boost if you have two or more other characters on stage, and whenever he reverses his opponent you can look at the top card of your deck and place it beneath him as a marker, gaining further dominance as he gets a 1000 power boost for every marker he chews on.
Hajime possesses a Riki that allows you to salvage a character by paying his costs when he enters from hand to stage or is sent to waiting room. He also gets a 1500 power boost for the turn he is played. Yue fights alongside her beloved Hajime with her early play and ensures no one will get in his way. She will get a static 500 power boost for each of your other characters on stage. When she’s played, if Hajime’s Riki is in your waiting room, you may place it underneath her as a marker to deal a single point of damage.
The wrath of Hajime’s fish will punish anyone who tries to oppose him. Aside from being a 1000 power backup, Hajime’s backup allows you to ditch two cards to send a character whose level is higher than your opponent’s to their memory permanently. This can help deal with pesky early plays and allows Yue’s brainstorm to use her power boost.
While Hajime is chad enough to single handily destroy the entire world, his marital bond with Yue gives Hajime the power to surpass the gods (much like any ideal marriage). Hajime and Yue have a paring ability that will give each other a static 2000 power boost if they are on stage as proof of their vows. Yue’s level 0 can help you generate more stock by sending a Hajime card on stage to stock when she attacks. Hajime’s event requires you to have three or more characters on stage, but it allows you to choose one of two effects: the first choice is to reduce an opponent’s card by 1500 power while the second is to perform a Riko effect. Be sure to choose the effect that’s best suited for the current situation.
No matter who they fight, whether it be gods or demons, the loli vampire and her alpha marksman will mow down all that oppose them. Be sure to utilize their synergistic abilities to show your opponents the true power that resonates with a matrimonial bond.
