SAO Alternative – Pitohui 2-Shot (B/R) [01/06/2021]

Pitohui, a powerful figure with an indominable ability, is very straight forward when it comes to online gaming. As a power member of the team in Gun Gale Online, she simply shoots quickly and effectively, ending her opponents in a handful of bullets at most.

Pitohui, as shown above, is a healer with a simple ability. When she swings, you may her costs and reveal the top of your deck. Now depending on the level of the card revealed, she will deal a certain amount of damage to your opponent. Assuming you want to maximize damage, you would like to ensure that your top triggers are level 2 or higher, making sure that she sinks her fatal bullets into her opponent.

M here is the main advantage engine for the deck. Firstly, as a level assist, he secures power for the rest of your characters in front. Secondly, his combo with the climax assigns a character the ability to check the top four cards of your deck on reverse and add any level 1 or higher to hand.

Another engine we’ll be running is the M bonder above with his event to the right. M can discard any card on play to fetch the event from the waiting room. This event is an Akatsuki event that checks and adds any character to hand from the top four cards of your deck.

Pitohui works extremely well with this combo with M above. Whenever you use an event, on either turn, once per turn, Pitohui gains power, making her effectively 7000 power all the time if you can maintain the event usage.

Both Elza and Pitohui here are great additions to fit into the deck. Elza is a climax swapper so you can either get M’s climax for the early game or prepare for Pitohui’s level 3. Pitohui is a spawner Riki that can help you grab further advantage out of your deck for the early game while also having a nice double trigger ability on swing.

The Pitohui on the left is a great brainstorm to use in conjunction with your level 1 level assist M. Her second ability is nice to search out your deck, but her primary ability further buffs up your cards during your opponent’s turn. The Pitohui to your right is very good to make use of your fallen comrades, either M or Goshi, but mostly M to send them to stock when they become reversed to further generate you extra advantage.

M is great to help filter through your deck and grab what you need. M also has a nice revenge based ability where if damage taken on his end was not cancelled, you may pay his discard costs to inflict the same amount to your opponent, making them think twice about swinging into M. Pitohui in the center is a nice early play to further push for more damage with a niche event salvaging ability. Lastly, the Pitohui to the right has a nice draw and power gain effect with a nice heavy damage ability upon reversing her opponent, making her a great secondary finisher.

The last card I’d like to mention before wrapping up this post is the Elza above. Elza is great as a climaxless Time Machine profile, letting you potentially net another body for the following turn.

Outside of the event backup, there is the option of Pitohui above as a free 2000 powered backup. Ren is the suggested other backup due to her functionality to perform an anti-change effect.

Make sure to stock plenty of powerful level 1s for M’s advantage combo. M has various cards that help with handling your opponent’s field. Make sure to use them as needed and send them to stock with Pitahui. Try to rid your deck of as many level 1s or lower so that level 3 Pitohui can maximize on her damage potential.
