Love Detective Chika is back on the case with the arrival of the newest set of Kaguya. Wearing her signature beret while wielding her magnifying glass, no romance or mystery is out of the way for Chika’s grand wits and ingenuity. The original deck posting is found here: Love Detective Chika and her 8 Events.

The detective finisher is back. Just like before, the goal is to mill or have a bunch of the love detective event in the waiting room for Chika to punish your opponent during her combo.

We are using the same combo as before as well. The required love detective event is in the center, ready to wreak havoc on your opponent’s board or get you extra hand. Chika herself has a modular ability to either bounce characters or provide character salvage on-reverse with her combo. The event is bondable through the level 0 Chika.

With the newer set, some very nice supportive cards were added to the mix, upping Chika’s arsenal. The Chika on the left specifically supports both the level 1 and level 3 combo Chikas with power, but more importantly, whenever the climaxes are played, she provides a global combo where she grants copies of herself choice triggers. This could be used as a pseudo combo should you not have the combo pieces. But more importantly, she can be used to generate further stock and hand advantage down the road.
The Chika to the right synergizes very well with this Chika on the left with her ability to send two characters from the waiting room back into the deck. Using this ability grants a nice power pump, but more importantly, this gives your field a higher chance of actually hitting the Chika(s) on the left to get the choice effect.

Speaking of which, for the oni event side of the deck, Chika has a new bonder to grab said event from your deck. Furthermore, the support to the right enables an alternative to the old level assist to help you swap your climaxes out of your level zone.

Lastly, a card that benefits both events of the love detective eight event deck is this Chika brainstorm shown above. Although the old brainstorm can still be ran, this Chika above has a greatly beneficial ability whenever an event is used, letting you draw and cycle hand (once per turn).
Chika’s got quite a number of nice power-ups to strengthen her deck. Furthermore, there are a variety of options for how you would like to play around your deck. Should you wish, you can go all in on the event support and run the new Shirogane 1/0 that acts as a discard filter for events. Make use of the old Shirogane support to filter through your deck whenever you use an event. Stomp your opponent in with Chika’s supportive power. The world’s your oyster, and the love detective is ready by your side.
