Strangely called both, the Eren/Oboro combo is an interesting ability to preserve hand in an unorthodox way. Whereas no new card is potentially added to hand, the combo itself focuses to renewing existing resources and denying your opponent’s reversing abilities.
The best profile comparison for this type of card is that of the Time Machine profile. Similarly, the card combo saves the card from being reversed the following turn by performing some kind of blinking effect. Unlike Time Machine, which phases into memory and opening a slot on the field, this type of card remains on the field and bounces to hand when they are fronted, thus removing the open soul penalty from Time Machine.
Although this is a great effect at potentially reducing damage taken compared to the extra damage from the Time Machine open slot, the card is able to be affected by other cards on field. Although the card is saved when it is fronted, the card does nothing if sided. Furthermore, any main phase popping effects or trigger effects that can cause removal fully affect these cards.
One plus side, similarly to Time Machine, is the ability to potentially loop the combo numerous times, thus saving and retaining hand while generating extra resources. Do keep in mind that a reversal or side must occur, as this profile must remain on the field during your opponent’s turn.

Eren/Oboro combos have remained mostly the same as time has passed. Sometimes the combo required a reverse. Other times, the combo may ignore the reverse, although commonly a reverse will be needed if an additional hand is produced from the card. Regardless of which, the combos greatly benefit from large amounts of turn power to ensure reverses or combat diversion abilities to skip around cards. Ideally, the combo player gets to combo off early before their opponent reaches level 1, allowing them to safely ensure that the combo card is able to survive during the opponent’s turn.
Make sure to buff your Eren/Oboro combos and ideally spam the climax multiple times as much as possible to generate continual advantage!
