Accel World – Red Legion: Nico & Pard (R) [12/27/2021]

Nico and Pard have an irreplaceable bond connecting the two together. Bearing the secret online personas of Scarlet Rain and Pride Leopard, they represent the Red Legion (Prominence). Acting as leader and sub-leader, they protect the pride of their legion while decimating and turning all their opponents to ashes.

The game plan is simple. Employing tactical maneuvers and implementing careful strategies, the combo is presented above. Reaching for her danger hose, the Nico the left combos well with the center Scarlet Rain. Ideally, she will top deck her opponent and the Scarlet Rain to the center will be able to send that card to the clock as guaranteed damage. It is a bit of RNG unless you are able to manipulate Scarlet Rain’s trigger.

Now one of the main highlights of this deck’s synergies is shown right above. Mainly, these three cards will be your supportive engine for hand gain. When the Nico and Pard on the left is on the field, a plethora of effects are established for the other two cards.

The center card becomes a global assist specifically when the 1/0 Nico and Pard are on the field. This creates a 1000 power global supporting back-row for all your Avatar (アバター) and Net (ネット) which is no easy feat to overcome. Furthermore, given all the reversing abilities throughout the deck, that global power will come in handy.

Speaking of which, the Nico to the right also gains a power ability if the Nico and Pard to the left are around. This power is important due to this third ability which is effectively your main way of gaining hand, netting a potential two hand when paired with the second ability of Nico and Pard.

Other cards that can benefit the deck are shown above. The support to the left helps to ensure that your level 3 Nico top-decker gets her effect off. Furthermore, she can bond to the main finisher. The Pard in the center acts as a large beat-stick for a low investment cost. The deck rarely uses a lot of stock for its ability anyways, so this can be a long term field card that can push for advantage and sets up for your main finisher. Lastly, the Nico to the right can be used as a secondary finisher to push for extra damage while burning your extra stock.

While we’re at it, why not just add even more plus to the deck? Resources are resources. Honestly, there probably isn’t a need to run this combo considering how many potential ways to regain hand exist for the deck. However, what’s more appealing is the climax that comes with this combo. It is fully up to you if you’d like to run the combo, but the climax is great for just more hand.

One other card I would really like to highlight is the card shown above. This card is amazing. Sure, it may have very low base power for a level 1, however, its effect more than makes up for this demerit. Keep in mind that if this card does survive, it can repeat its mill and potential hand gaining effect the following turn again since it is on attack.

Counters are completely optional for the deck. Given how much power your back-row can offer in the early game, counters are quite good for just maintaining field presence overall and potentially re-using resources the following turn. Nico doesn’t mess around.

It is paramount that you establish that back-row as soon as possible. Nico and Pard are unstoppable when they get going. Precision, skill, tactics, these are all available in Nico and Pard’s arsenal. Make use of all their regenerative tools, and continue to apply pressure to your opponent until the very end where you can snipe in the last bits of damage. Show your opponent what Brain Burst has given you.
