Nisekoi – Sweet Sisters (G/B) [07/31/2021]

Kosaki and Haru are close sisters who care deeply for one another. They are daughters of a pastry chef with quite distinct personalities. Both sisters share the trait of Sweets (お菓子) which is predominately more used by Haru to find her sister and her in the deck.

As stated above, the key trait for the deck is Sweets. Both Kosaki and Haru share this trait, however there is a greater focus on the trait in the second booster of the series, ニセコイ:. Some of the Kosaki cards may refer to the trait of Key (鍵) and require multiple copies of her character cards on field instead of Haru. This is important to keep in mind since Haru herself does not carry the Key trait.

NK/WE22-12SP-SP パジャマパーティー 春

There is only one finisher in the series in the form of the Haru above. The effect is a little gimmicky considering her abilities are dependent on the number of Sweets characters milled. Ideally, you will hit all three and get every effect including the very important finishing effect upon milling the third character. Most of your deck is composed of the sisters anyway, so aside from potential tech cards and climaxes, the check mill should be fairly consistent.

While not really sporting any finishers for say, the older sister, Kosaki, does bring a good amount of supportive abilities to the deck to help out Haru. There are a large number of options available considering that the level three Haru, NK/WE22-12SP-SP, does not require a combo climax to function. The card on the left isn’t necessarily the best of support since it only really works well with other Kosakis due to its reliance upon the Key trait. However, since a good chunk of your deck will consist of Kosaki anyway, leaving one or two copies of this deck can help you fetch a large portion of characters. The right card is a good card that ultimately helps in setting up and trying to ensuring that at least one of your Haru finishers will guarantee her mill targets.

This is another possible combo for the deck. Aside from the combo, the card is a base healer, but it comes with a potential downside. You have to rest a Key character when this card is played from hand to stage meaning a Kosaki must be rested. If there is no other Key character on stage when this card is played, it will unfortunately resort to forcing the player to rest itself. The combo only fetches Key characters as well, but at least you can get two characters into hand.

This combo above may be more easy to use for the deck since the combo relies upon Sweets rather than Key. The level assist in the center works with the climax on the right to bring out the Kosaki on the left. The Kosaki on the left combos with that same climax to search for a Sweets character and add it to hand while giving herself 2500 power. Although not as relevant for the deck, she can provide an additional 4000 power to another character at the start of your opponent’s draw phase. Try and mix and the match the above combos for level 3 as you’d like.

This combo is the main advantage engine of the deck. It is a reverse combo with a paid cost attached, but it does let you add cards from your clock to your hand which is a pretty rare effect. It does also carry another very special effect that with the climax combo in play, she locks your opponent out of playing events until the start of your next turn.

A special mention needs to be made for the card above. This card is a highly recommended inclusion for the deck, but it comes with a very steep downside. It is a drop searcher for Sweets and can also bond to your level 1 combo which are two very good effects on a single card. The problem is that Fuu herself is not of the Sweets trait. She cannot be searched in anyway and fails all attribute checks. Nevertheless I suggest running at no more than two copies, maybe even a single copy will suffice because of the overall utility in this card.

These are some of the good additions to the deck. The card on the left is a clone of the on-play Akatsuki effect, letting you cycle any card for another Sweets character off the top four cards of your deck. The center card is the changer for NK/W30-027RRR and also functions as a pretty sizeable backup as well. The last card on the right was a notorious monster back in the set’s hayday. It is essentially a free refresher assuming you meet her conditions which also lets you draw one on completing that effect. Additionally, you can tap two of your Key characters to power another character of your own by 2000 power.

Another notable pair of cards are the two shown above. The left card greatly helps the deck with its consistency by letting you check the top two cards of your deck (cannot rearrange) which is very useful for many check effects. It also bonds to the card on the right. The right card is a search brainstorm that also doubles as a power assist to cards in front.

NK/WE22-15C テガカリ 春

This is the last card I will mention before wrapping up this post. This card is a global support for Sweets, but its more interesting ability is that this card specifically provides a bit of a counter to other Nisekoi decks playing with pendants. Hilariously enough, if you do find yourself against another Nisekoi opponent playing pendants, this card will automatically have an effect of adding an additional global +500 power for each pendant in their memory.

I have placed some suggested cards above. Feel free to try and change up the build. Keep in mind that the deck is very heavy on requiring Sweets traits. So do try and limit the amount of non-Sweets cards as they do lower the consistency of the deck.
